I knew the show was going to end sooner or later but I'm still saddened by hearing the news. :( Monk is the only show I watch on Fridays. I love how they air part of the season in the summer, when nothing else is on.

If you love "Monk," get ready to say goodbye.

The USA comedy about the obsessive-compulsive Adrian Monk (Emmy-winner Tony Shalhoub) will return for an eighth and final season, USA announced late Friday.

The 16 episodes in that last season are expected to premiere next summer.

Season seven will continue with new episodes in January. And a holiday special will air Nov. 28.

The show's regular time slot is 9 p.m. Fridays.

Very sad. I haven't been watching as much as I used too but Monk has always been a great show. I'll be sad to see it go. :(

I am glad that Monk is Returning for an 8th Season but I am sad to here that it will be the final season.
