Two posts below this one is one titled "A New Generation". This, like most of my posts has zero responses. I am not faulting anyone nor am I asking for sympathy. I am simply stating a fact. It seems to be a trend that, when I start a thread, within hours several people come to veiw the thread. This goes on for a day or so. And then it comes to a screeching halt! I can tell this because after the first day or two, the number of views stays the same for a long time. My "New Generation" post is a good case and point. The number of views of this particular thread has been 19 for weeks! In any event, the fact that the number is stagnating at 19 makes me think back to a "Sesame Street" routine called "The Great Nineteenie". This skit came out in the early nineties. Big Bird played the part of a magicion called The Great Nineteenie and Mr. Snoofulofogus was his faithful assistant. There are two things about this situation that are needless to say but I feel and urge to say them anyway! In the first place 19 was the number being studied that day and this was simply a tool to teach about it. On top of this, it was a takeoff of the Great Hoodeenie who was popular a couple of generations beforehand. In any event, I thought that it would be a good thing to bring up here because the same generation that grew up with "Sesame Street" was the one that, in their adult years learned to appreciate shows like "Caroline in the City"!
