can someone please let me know what year I Love Lucy came to TV Land I know that it was October 15 but I need the year.

I Love Lucy debuted on TV Land on October 15th at 9 PM (ET/PT) in 2001. 7 years ago! The first episode shown was "Lucy and Ethel Go To a Night Club."

Yes, the series started at 9:00pm exactly on its 50th anniversary on October 15, 2001. It was presented "commercial" free with a re-edited opening credit (much longer than what is presented in the reruns) as well as discussion of what the commercials were like during the breaks. I have a tape of it somewhere of that first night on TV Land somewhere.

DID i read somewhere that I Love Lucy is leaving TVland and moving to Hallmark station? If so must make sure I get Hallmark. Some cablecompanies have bumped Hallmark off their lineup. Digital gets it but Analog doesn't in my neck of the woods. Has anyone heard anything?

Yes I Love Lucy is Leaving TV Land and moving to The Hallmark Channel in Janurary of 2009.
