Look into someone who has their own clothing site on MySpace and ask if they are looking for models?
I mean, they are probably not going to pay you anything; but, it would be great exposure. Also a lot of modeling agencies do not hire male model unless they are of a certain age. Most of them, like their male models to be, at least, 18 years or older. So, you have plenty of time, if you are serious of becoming a model.

Yes, he would have better luck in New York, than compared to Los Angeles. LA, royally sucks. if you are trying to break into the modeling industry, epsecially if you are a guy.

Believe it or not - at your age - get going now. Start getting a portfolio together and look into agencies. Be AWARE tho of ones who ask for money up front for pictures, etc. - they're scammers. If an agency thinks you have potential, they'll take you and pay for those things. Don't get conned.

Although I recently was shopping for my Christmas gift, a leather jacket, and was asked to model in February at a spring leather show in town so that was pretty cool considering my age! They do want "more mature" women, but I was still quite (nicely) surprised.

(They like dark haired, tall models. It's the one time I feel "normal" or short - I usually tower over even most men. It's embarrassing when you get in an elevator and you're looking at the tops of peoples' heads - especially guys!) ;)

I have a lazy eye and I still do patching therapy. I wear a patch for 2-4 hours almost every day. I sometimes draw eyes on the patches even though my drawings are crappy. I'm hoping to buy some pirate patches soon and I have some custom patches made.

The carpet is even uglier - it's this weird pink-beige color. I'd rather have the houndstooth carpeting I used to have in one of my previous residences many years ago... it was nicer-looking than the pink carpet.
