We have some more information on the ratings of last night's episode. The show broke the 10 million viewers mark for the first time, and placed first in the adult 18-49 demographic with a 3.9/10 rating. The episode was watched by 10.01 million viewers.

It probably will go down below 10 million in the finals, but it will still be a series high!

Be very careful. It was preempted in San Fransisco for a football game, so it will drop in the finals. It is still a terrific rating, but will not be 10 million.

It looks like the unthinkable happend. The Big Bang Theory got over 10 million viewers. It also led the time slot over Dancing With the Stars in the 18-49 demo and in 18-34 year olds.

Here are the finals from CBS :

THE BIG BANG THEORY was first in adults 18-49 (3.9/10), adults 18-34 (2.8/08), second in households (6.2/09), viewers (10.01m) and adults 25-54 (4.5/11). THE BIG BANG THEORY was up +5% in both households (from 5.9/09) and adults 18-49 (from 3.7/10), +2% in adults 25-54 (from 4.4/10) and added +340,000 viewers (from 9.67m, +4%) compared to last week. THE BIG BANG THEORY posted series highs in households, viewers, adults 18-49 and matched series highs in adults 25-54.

Told you! I bet this is why they are getting the stars out there for promo now to spread the word even more. Jim will be on Craig Ferguson on Friday and I believe Sara Gilbert is on next week!

This show has amazed me with its ratings this season. Pavan can attest to the fact that I told him before the season I thought this show would get about 8-8.5 million viewers. For the show to have gotten 10 million viewers, and now moved past Dancing With The Stars in both 18-49 years olds and 18-34 years olds is remarkable. Just amazing. :)

I wasn't sure last season but now, if the ratings keep up and all, this will be an instant classic. People can say what they want, this show does have originallity and is genualy funny. This season has been fantastic (all episodes have been a 10 out of 10 in my book) and ratings are showing people agree!

I seem to think the same thing every week so far, this season has not given us one bad episode. This show is the only must-watch show for me on TV right now.

And finals are out, and still above 10 million. This is absolutely amazing. I knew it would happen, but not this soon. Hopefully, it can maintain that audience, if not continuing to grow it. I think this show is the best thing to happen to CBS Mondays since Two and a Half Men premiered.

On the other side, poor Worst Week is having a tough time. It was beaten by all 3 of the comedies this week. I really doubt it has much of a future.

the original version was WAY better - the CBS version is way too predictable and unfunny.

Am I the only fan that would be happy if Worst Week ended with the wedding or birth of the baby? I'm also excited to see Fred Wilard on Worst Week on Monday!

Back to BBT, I know I've heard a lot more kids in high school talking about it this year for sure. I heard some "gansta" kids talking about it the other day outside the school, lol, I couldn't get over it. Of course, they were talking about "that blonde chick's body" but talk is spreading lmao!

Word is definitely spreading - I'd very impressed if this Monday, it continued to build over 10 million. That would be quite impressive. Thank god we have shows like BBT that are keeping the sitcom genre alive!

About Worst Week, that's exactly where I think they should end it. I'm thinking maybe have the wedding in an episode or 2, then end episode 13 with the birth of the baby. It's really been a ratings bust if you think about it - with a 14 million lead-in, its only getting 9 million. While I enjoy the show, I really think it has a small chance of getting renewed.

CBS wants Rules of Engagement back on soon and I don't see them cancelling Gary first, although the past few episodes def. have been really hard to watch! I think 'Christine' too has a chance of getting the axe and net year, we'll be back to last year's CBS monday line-up next year, that being;

There is no way CBS will ever break up the BBT/HIMYM hour. This hour is now their most successful hour. They are perfectly compatible, and they attract younger viewers, which advertisers want. They will be together for a long time to come.

Neither Worst Week or Rules of Engagement are getting the respect they deserve. Frankly, I think Worst Week would work better in mid season with 13episode seasons, if it continues. I don't think this show needs 22 episodes a year. But 'Rules' definately deserves it!

It is kind of interesting how this is actually the shows second highest rating ever, yet after last week's 10 million it seems kind of underwhelming. I guess it is all expectations, because this is still an excellent rating for an 8:00 show. The show continues to do amazingly well. :)
