I always got the feeling that the people of East Millinocket have done an outstanding job of keeping this case in the light. It's been nearly 30 years since Joyce McLain's death and they're still asking questions; they still haven't forgotten. If only all our communities could be like that.

Maybe the exposure from the People article will generate new leads in this case. Keep our fingers crossed.

If not, then at least they tried. But any outlet (television, magazine, newspaper, etc.) that can publicize an unsolved case is a good one, since there is always the hope that it could bring about new leads. You'll never know for sure unless you give that outlet a chance.
