I am thankful for my husband, my job and my family.
I'm thankful that we are able to buy the things we need and have the freedom to go and do what we want.

I'm thankful that I am able to volunteer for wonderful things like the recent presidential/governor election and for The Seattle Aquarium.

And I, too am thankful for this board and the opportunity I have been given to be able to talk to such wonderful people. God knows that we've all had our differences at one time or another but I am very thankful that whenever I need to rant, vent or just share exciting news that there is a place that I can come to; day or night.

:bighug: TO EVERYONE!!!!

I am thankful for the true, real, good friends I have- in person, and on here.
I am thankful for my health, strength and will power to survive, live and to be able to do the things I can do in this world. I am also thankful to God and for my family- the true family members that were their behind me, not the drunk, ignorant, irresponsible people that surround me day in and day out.

I am thankful for my life, which I almost lost a couple of times this past year.
I am thankful for those who helped me get through this past year - the police, the hospitals, my friends, and especially friends like Janice, Brian, Brad and other's on SO for their encouragement.
I'm thankful for still having a roof over my head and food in the fridge, even though I'm out of work.
I am thankful for unemployment insurance and the country I live in. Even at our lowest point, we're better off here in North America than many parts of the world.
I am thankful that I haven't turned into a bitter person by the influences over the past year.
I am thankful for the progress in medicine and treatments.
And I am thankful to the makers of Kleenex, since I probably boosted their sales this year a lot! lol

I am thankful that I have a job and a loving husband who keeps me sane and knows how to pull me out of any panic attack.

I am thankful for my online friends both at xbtrs.yuku.com and here on the SO boards, especially TV star collector, whom I became friends with this year and who this month introduced me to the Doodyville Historical Society - to me, they are 200 of the best friends this Doodygirl could ever want!

I am thankful that I am healthy and that I can continue to pursue my dreams.

Finally, I am thankful for all the people who have responded so favorably (and can't wait for me to finish) to a book I am working on called Being Dilly. Without that following, I would have no reason to continue writing.

I LOVE YOU ALL AND THANK YOU FOR AN AWESOME 2008!!!!! :D

The main thing I'm thankful for is that God granted me another year with all the ones I love. There were many rough times for me and my family this year, but we made it through, and we have the priveledge of spending another Thanksgiving together, and making new memories. Alot of people don't have that unfortunately, and as a great friend once reminded me, I will never take it for granted. That's what I'm most grateful for.

Thank you sir . Can't wait to eat that turkey, mashed potatoes, candy yams, stuffing & pumpkin pie lol....

Guys, they're already playing Christmas music on radio stations . Fine for me, I love it. Both holidays are great and I guess it makes sense, although it's not the Christmas season, you can't play Thanksgiving music lol.

I'm thankful to have my brother in the same state as my mother, sister and I. It's only temporary, but it's nice. It's nice to see the kids. I'm thankful for my mother and sister. We have our differences, but that's ok.

I'm thankful that my best friend who was diagnosed with cancer in fall 2007 is still alive. :)

I'm thankful for Janice's friendship. :) You're a great friend and have a big heart. :)

I'm thankful for the two cats we have. Even though Chava is gone and is missed dearly it's nice to have Cuddles and Romeo. This is our first Thanksgiving without Chava.

I'll be praying for your best friend- hope he makes out & is alright :).

Thank you. :) She was diagnosed with breast cancer in September/October 2007.

No problem  & my bad for calling she a he lol. Hope SHE recovers and makes out alright. Edited their lol.

Breast cancer is a pain in the butt. I like how people are aiming high to fix the problems of it, and probability of it happening less.

I'm thankful for my mother and brother. Although I rarely see them, they are always there for me. My cousin Ann has been such an angel! I don't know what I'd do without her.

I'm thankful to have a job. A job I don't hate.

I'm thankful to live with two good friends who get along with me. I've had some unfortunate roommate experiences, and I'm grateful that they are over; at least for now.

I'm thankful for my girlfriend. A young-lifetime of waiting & searching for someone special. Now I found her. I am grateful.

I'm thankful President Bush will soon be out of office.

All in all, I don't have any serious complaints at this point in life. And that's something to be thankful for by itself!

I'm thankful that I have a truck that actually starts when you want it to and keeps going until you get where you need to be.

:crying: It's post's like these Chris, that make me want to cry! and make me thankful for meeting you as well. Did you know it's been over a year now since we met?

Anyway, I'm also thankful for all of my friends, the REAL friends if you know what I mean. The people that stuck by and are still my friends at this very moment, not the fake friends from High School that used me to get popularity points. I'm also thankful for my friends on here, whether it's a close friend I talk to daily (Chris, Kyle) or everybody else on this website that's been nice to me, given me advice or just chatted with. You guys are the best.

I'm also thankful for god, my family, cousins (Christine, Izabel, Deen, Mae, Monica, Joseph and all of my other "favorites" lol), my auntie, my aunt Mary, uncles, my grandmother Maribel, my nanna Ondine, my brother, mom, dad, my god mom, my "studio family", the people that I work with (especially Trish, because without her, I wouldn't even have this job) and everybody else that's been there for me, ever second of my life, whenever I needed them.

I'm also thankful for my good health. I hear more stories everyday about people terminally ill with a life threatening disease. My god mother, who is currently is sick with brain cancer, my aunt Jeanne is sick with MS and both of my grandfathers who died of cancer, my cousin who died of skin cancer and others I know who are sick, god bless you guys, I pray for you everyday.

I'm thankful to live in the country that I live in, and have the privileged life that I've been living . More then half of the world lives in poverty, we are so lucky to live in a country where even if you are poor, there are lots of programs to keep you from starving and keep a roof over your head. I pray for all of the people living in developing countries where on Thanksgiving night, while we are enjoying delicious warm food, they are just trying to stay alive.

I'm also thankful for my pets, and pets that I've had in the past, haha. To my two dogs, Chloe and Ashlee :).

Aww this is cute. Thank you :)- you are a close, great friend as well and I'm glad I met you. Yeah it's a shame- so many people are dieing the wrong way, not just from old age, but from being terminally ill, it's a shame and has happened to my family members and friends before. My grandfather smoked (cigarettes) from when he was 9 until death (he died around 11 years ago in '97) so I pray and dedicate my songs and blessings to him, I'm pretty sure he had lung cancer and died of it. RIP. That's cool- you just have 2 dogs? Jw. I have 2 (crazy but funny) cats- Snickers and Shadow, although my grandmother always mixes up Shadow's name and calls her Midnight . I also have a dog- we call him Fez  (if you've ever seen That '70s Show, you'd know what I mean. I know MonarC has) because he's a Mexican breed and he eats everything up off the floor, not just food LOL. But yeah, I can't wait for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I'm gonna jokingly dress Fez up in a Santa outfit . He's wearing some sort of sweater for dogs now that says "always in trouble." Y'all remember that post I had, talking about the dog wearing sweaters?.

Oh, I suppose. I usually get all pessimistic in these threads because I have no self-esteem and don't think I deserve anything.

My mom and dad, who for reasons unknown, still put of with my idiotic ass.

My boyfriend, whom I'm still unsure as to why he's still around, but I'm glad he is.

The kids at school. Well, the ones who don't make me want to scream anyway. lol

The fact that I can afford to eat. Or that my parents can afford to give me food.

My car.

All of your posts are so touching;) . It's nice to see people who appreciate all they have. It reminds me of the column Dear Abby used to put in every Thanksgiving. For those who don't really know what I'm talking about, it's this:

DEAR READERS: Today is Thanksgiving Day, so here's my traditional column. Take a few minutes to think about what you have to be thankful for. How's your health? Not so good? Well, thank God you've lived this long. A lot of people haven't. You're hurting? Thousands - maybe millions - are hurting more. If you awakened this morning and were able to hear the birds sing, use your vocal cords to utter human sounds, walk to the breakfast table with two good legs and read the newspaper with two good eyes, praise the Lord! A lot of people couldn't. How's your pocketbook? Thin? Well, most of the world is a lot poorer. No pensions. No weldare. No food stamps. No Social Security. In fact, one-third of the people in the world will go to bed hungry tonight.

Are you lonely? The way to have a friend is to be one. If nobody calls you, call someone. Go out of your way to do something nice for somebody. It's a sure cure for the blues.

Are you concerned about your country's future? Hooray! Our system has been saved by such concern - concern for fair play under the law. Your country may not be a rose garden, but it also is not a patch of weeds.

Freedom rings! Look and listen. You can still worship at the church of your choice, cast a secret ballot, and even criticize your government without fearing a knock on the head or a knock on the door at midnight. And if you want to live under a different system, you are free to go.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving, and may God bless you and yours.

I'm so thankful that I have a nice place to live, a decent job(heck, just a job since so many people have been getting laid off!), a loving family, and good health, for starters.

I'm thankful for knowing such nice people on here. To name some: Lauren, Janice, & Taura and everyone else. Even though I've never met any of them in person (and chances are, I never will) and I don't even know what most of you look like (I've seen Laurens pic. on facebook though) I enjoy coming on here and reading some of the posts.

I'm thankful for everything. I know it's easy to look at the bad things in life, but I've really been blessed in more ways than I can even begin to put into words, and I truly am thankful for that.
