Is it really true that prior to each airing of an episode of Laverne and Shirley in various Asian countries (Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore, etc.), a disclaimer appears stating that the women were escapees from an asylum?

I remember reading that in a book about sitcoms back in the 1980's.

I never heard that, but I can tell you that it definetaly IS NOT true. Noone would ever say THAT!:lol:

perhaps that's that culture's version of, don't try this at home !
