I was talking to one of my friends at school and she said that she thought Hawkeye acted emo at the end of the show. I don't know if I agree or not, I mean, he does whine a lot about things that he really shouldn't be whining about like operating when he did go to school to becaome a surgeon. But I still don't know. What do you guys think?

I'm afraid I am not sure what the definition of "emo" is.

A lot of folks believe that Hawkeye got very self righteous and bitter towards the end of the series run, and I sometimes agree with that assesment.

I wouldn't consider Hawkeye a whiner.

But I think he hated the fact that he was putting his skills as a surgeon to use patching up men who had been brutalized by war, which was something he never thought he would be doing when he was studying in med school.
