she would been saying in 2008 after seeing Obama win the Presidential Election?

Remember these Comments in 1975 when she found out George lived in that Apartment?

"How can you afford a place like this? You ain't tall enough to be no Basketball Player? And you too old to be a Rock and Roll Singer?

Lousie-"Diane this is our apartment"

Diane-"OH my god then you must be a numbers runner, I'm getting out of here"

Ah yes, the 70s were the days of stereotyping (even within the race). Where every black guy seen driving a caddy or mercedes HAD to be a pimp or drug dealer! If that's the case, wonder when Obama dropped the purple coat and fuzzy green hat! ;)

Sad but true. And I remember even when Cosby started there was even some grumbling then that it was "too much the other direction". Give me a break! Like all blacks are lower or middle class only. Thank God those days are overwith eh?

Hell, in my neighbourhood, I'm the odd person out - I drive a Jetta and most of the blacks in my area drive Lexuses, Mercedes, BMWs, etc.. LOL

Yeah, I loved Florence's line at the end, "We have overcome, why didn't anyone tell me?"
