I was inspired to start this thread after posting in the Deb Poe thread. Indeed I have a crush on the interviewee from the Poe segment. Anybody else?

Annette Schnee was definitely a cutie. Lori Tillman, the friend from the Poe segment, remains my favorite (I'm single, Lori!). Any others?

Definitely the guy whose head was chopped into little bitty pieces by a helicopter blade in Vietnam. Not only did he survive such a devastating injury, but looked great! He had nice skin, a great smile and gorgeous blue eyes! He and the nurse who helped him are to be greatly commended. Many people have struggled to recover from a head injury and although some may look all right on the outside they never function right for years if ever. :( Yet this guy went on to earn an advanced degree, so he is smart as well as hot! :yourock:

And also Larry Dickens's sister, from the Edward Harold Bell case. I found her southern accent quite sexy.

I've loved Kurt Cobain since I first heard of Nirvana back in the early 1990s. I was 13 then. :loveya:

I thought Russell Evans was pretty cute when I was younger.

I don't know if this would count as a "girl crush," but I think Tammy Lynn Leppert is stunning! I'm always in awe of her beauty when I see her photos.

How about the wife of the guy who was allegedly killed by his friend (stay with me) in the episode in which a former cop (if I recall correctly) hears the voice of the dead man telling him how he died? I believe that the wife had a British accent and it was one of those cases where the real person was more attractive than the actress who played her in the re-enactments. Does anyone know what case I am talking about? The former cop who hears the dead man's voice dies himself some time later and this was one of the later episodes in the series.

Cori aka ChrisSCrush
11-13-2008, 07:13 AM
Yes, but as I recall it wasn't a British accent but some kind of American east coast accent--she pronounced "fallen" as "fawlen" and so on.

Not to be offensive or anything, but am I the only one to find it creepy that someone could have a crush on a victim seen on UM, as most of them are either dead or endangered?

Sure, I find Holly Maddux totally attractive on her pictures, and I would have approached her if I had met her while she was still alive. But to the point of having a crush on her now? Given that she was found rotting in a trunk in Ira Einhorn's closet, this is a border I refuse myself to cross.

Candy's sister Roxy....I found her to look beautiful in their family portrait.

She's the one who died in an auto wreck and apparently came back to help her sister Candy fight and win against cancer. If that's true, Roxy is a truely beautiful girl while she was here and in spirit....RIP

What no crushes for the #1 stud on this show?? Robert Stack??!!

12-10-2008, 12:58 AM
Yeah, Robert Stack. No kidding. He's one of the few man celebrity crushes I have. I mean how could you resist that trenchcoat, gruff voice, and confident no-nonsense demeanor?

As far as the others on the show, Keely Shaye Smith was very hot and these were also attractive women:

Lisa Ziegert
Alicia Showalter Reynolds
Jodie Bordeaux
Julie Cross
Susan Walsh
Jodi Huisentruit
Claudia Kirschhoch
Shelly Malone
Tanya Van Cuylenborg
Joyce Chiang
Dana Satterfield
Elizabeth Campbell
Marilu Geri
Cindy James
Patsy Wright
Natasha Jennings
Bonnie Craig
Kathy Page
Mary McGinnis Morris
Aileen Conway
Megan Curl was sort of cute.

Robert Fisher is one handsome guy. Too bad he was a psychopath and killed his wife and kids. David Chase was a good looking guy too. So were Bobby Fuller, Matt Flores, Donald Kemp, Philip Kramer, Robert Hamrick, Chad Maurer, Steve Sandlin, Eric Tamiyasu, Kurt Cobain, Elvis Presley, George Reeves, Bugsy Siegel, Butch Cassidy, Michael Carmichael, Dan Casolaro, Russell Evans, Phillip Fraser, Lester Garnier, Kevin Ives, "Liz Carmichael", Tony Alamo, the I-70 Killer and David Lee Kemp.

Just kidding on those last 4. Yikes.

I found the Jefferson/Marcy relationship to be completely unbelivable. why would Marcy tolerate such a bum? and Jefferson didn't seem to be all that attacted to Marcy. And why would a feminist like Marcy tolerate Jefferson being in the "No Ma'am" group? Steve was a much better match for Marcy. Steve was great. He was mostly devoted to Marcy but there was a little part of them that liked to hang out with Al

anyways, back on topic. yeah, I agree Rob Schaffer was pretty hawt.

I thought Barbara Piotrowski (the one who got into toxic and almost fatal relationship with millionaire Richard Minns) was very attractive on those pictures from her beauty contest days.

Besides, you could see the makers of the show had good taste in women. Sometimes while Robert Stack was presenting the case in police stations and such, they often showed some leggy models in business suits tinkering with xero machine or making the coffee in the background, how distracting! Check out Paul Tyler Beal episode for example -> they even make police officer leave his desk in order to show the body of this blonde girl and the camera zooms a bit if you look carefully ;)

I have to amend my answer on this one now: I was watching UM with The Boyfriend yesterday, when they happened to show the Matt Flores segment. I believe the word I used to describe him, much to the NON-amusement of The Boyfriend, was "hummina-hummina-hummina." :D

And yes, Flores looked like he loved his little one very much. It makes the crime against him that much more senseless.

So, my list now stands at Rob Schafer, the dude who played Larry Dickens in the re-enactement :), Matt Flores, AND Joe Cole. His friend Henry Rollins is kind of a babe, too. I've seen him do some spoken word presentations before and he's an amazing public speaker.

This is also kind of twisted, but I thought that Billy, the guy that Nancy (the woman who was a member of the Seafarer's Union who was murdered) dated was kinda cute. I didn't really care for his brand of poetry (I'm sure you all remember Night Stalker, more specifically "No one will hear your screams as the predator starts to bite.") But kinda cute nonetheless. :)

Also, as far as girls go, has anyone mentioned Su Taraskawitz? She was a cutie...

Jeff Oberholtzer! He seemed to have such a gentle soul. He always looked outdoorsy to me (maybe it's beard), like he'd be a really great person to go hiking with.

I'm with you on that one CRicci. Joe Cole was very good looking. I had a crush on Rollins when I was 13 years-old... and still do. An amazing, intense artist ... and yummy. Sigh.

I just find all of these guys attractive....Although sadly most are dead.

First is Bryan Nisenfeld (He was such an attractive guy)

Don't know the name...but the actor who played Rainboy.

John Burroughs From one of the UFO episodes.

I wish I could remember his first name...but Lakata...the Lakata boy who was killed by a drunk driver and was in one of the psychic episodes. He liked soccer. He would have been very attractive had he been able to grow into adulthood

Dan Castelarro (SP?)...very attractive man

And Eric Tamiyasu...a beautiful man.

OK...that was kind of creepy...'cuz most of them are...well...dead.

Why does my “oogy-ometer” go off when I read, or think, about who I find attractive on UM? Its weird. I don’t get the oogies when I think about which actors I find attractive, nor when I think about the majority of the people interviewed who I would find attractive. Its only when it’s the deceased folks, or the folks who have been traumatized through some horrific ordeal.

Take Matt Flores for example. That was one impossibly good looking guy. I’m a heterosexual father and this man was so good looking he was the fist name to pop to MY mind when considering the attractiveness of people featured on UM. However, I shudder to think that his widow, or his family members, would Google his name and them come across this site and find a post of people “crushing” on him. The only reason we are aware of this man at all is because his senseless, and seemingly random, murder has yet to be solved and was profiled on a show we all like to discuss. For some reason that weirds me out. Especially when some of the women mentioned may have been marked for murder precisely because they were so striking.

Then again, using the same example, all people are doing is saying how attractive he is, which as I said before is damned near undeniable. I’m sure his wife had heard that very sentiment a million times from her girlfriends and family.

Ah well…I’ve now expressed my hesitations towards replying to this post and in the same breath rationalized any guilt I may feel.
That being done, I would say my list goes…a little something…like this:

“Real People”
Matt Flores
Pam Ellender
Annette Kay Schnee
Veronica Jefferson

“Actors”

Matt McConaughey – I mean, cmon, really now. You could do your laundry on those abdominals.
“SPF Langford” – Good looking guy who might could be the 2nd worst actor ever on UM ((the worst of course being the ridiculously horrible “Englishman” in the Chair of Death segment)). His argument with his girlfriend is pure “bad acting gold”, Jerry.
The girl who acted as "Pearl Jam" in the Ellender segment is weird-hot.

A little off subject but I'm probably one of the few people who loves Caddyshack II. I still have the VHS copy my dad got me in the early 90s and it's been one of my favorites since I was a kid.

It's more silly and light compared to the original. Even though Robert technically plays the villian (snobs who are trying to stop Jackie Mason's more blue collar character from transforming the country club) I couldn't help but like him. It came out in 1988 too when he started UM, it was neat to compare the difference too.

I agree he was in good shape especially for being close to 70 then.

I give people some benefit of the doubt when they do things like that...they're in front of a television camera and a ton of crew members...they're going to change their behavior a bit. She may have been faking it, but she also may have been embarassed to show her true emotions.

I've changed my mind of peoples' behavior on UM before...Cindy Anderson's dad for example...I used to think that he was weird, but after reading that article of his behavior after her disappearance, I don't believe that his emotions on the show were fake, just odd.

I'm going to have to add Brent Unmisig, the paramedic who took a poisoned coke from Michael Swango (shudder) at the football game they worked together.

And definitely Jeffrey Digman.

And I don't know why, but I always had it bad for Ralph Probst. I guess I've always liked strong, silent, and serious--and he sure put ol' Sammy D in his place and did NOT even care. :p

I thought Audrey Moate looked very beautiful. When I first saw her photo, I thought she was an actress from the 50's and 60's. She had a very classy and dignified look.

Both Sharon Marshall and Crystal Spencer were both very attractive as well.

I know some people are saying it's creepy to compliment many of the individuals who were featured on UM. I find it more sad than anything else. So many lives cut short...ohno:

Let me also add Dawna Gay (Larry Dickens' sister) circa 1992 interviewed in the segment. As a kid I thought she was strikingly gorgeous, and she (back then) was around the age I am now too. :)

Sharene Vess (also in the early 90s) from the segment about finding her long lost siblings after their dad, James Vess, murdered their mom, Wanda.

Lee Selwyn's mom, Linda. I LOVE Liberal women anyway, and she seemed like one of those cool/perpetually youthful 60s/70s chicks, who simply was a little bit older by the late 80s. I thought it was sweet how she said she and Lee were also really great friends, as opposed to just mom and son.

Just for fun, since we're talking about this aspect of it, maybe my most "unconventional" UM semi crush would be Katherine Scott, the newspaper reporter who took a picture of the Henderson NV bank robbers. She looked like she could've been a mild mannered teacher or something, but I thought she was kind of a pretty older woman.*

*I was 13 in early 1995 when I caught a rerun. She definitely wasn't old back then (probably 45-50), simply a little older than most of the girls/younger women I liked at that age (i.e. teens/20s/30s).

I've certainly seen enough UM over the years to have developed quite a few, and I've listed many of them here. Out of respect to some people who may find this thread creepy or offensive, only three people on this list have actually been proven dead at this point, and more of them than not are still alive (or at least believed so). Anyway, here is my UM crush list:

Tiffany Adair (Natasha Jennings's friend)

Lisa Baynum (Diane Washer's daughter)

Lisa Bishop

Both Tara Breckenridge and the actress who played her

Tara Calico

Karen Walters Cepulonis when she was much younger (boy, did she ever age badly when they showed her in that update)

Kyra Cook

Angela Cummings (murder victim originally thought to be the one the KROQ deejays were speaking of)

Stephanie Gaffney (Zip Gun Bomber victim)

Lisa Ganz (writer interviewed in segment about Elvis's twin brother)

Kristie Gunderson-Lee

Natasha Jennings

Ellen Juvera (aka Liza Montgomery) as shown in the update segment. Unfortunately, she has NOT aged well. I saw a picture (that I unfortunately do not remember how to find again) that was taken in 2007, and trust me if you're looking for what you saw in 1991, you'll be very disappointed.

Jennifer Kramer (Phillip Taylor Kramer's wife)

Christy Myers (girl interviewed in 1988 segment about killing of sea lions)

Amriah Nagi (Charlotte Pollis's sister)

Lisa Nibley (girl saved from drowning by blind dog)

Star Palumbo

Chrystal Roberts (the cruise passenger interviewed in the Amy Bradley segment)

Roxanne (Chad Langford's ex-girlfriend)

Abbi Silver (FBI Special Agent; I honestly don't remember the segment)

The actress who played Heather Tallchief (I can't say I thought much of the real Heather)

Shannon Timpane (from the Terry Lynn Smith Lost Loves segment)

Danyel Wofford-Simmons (Tracy Wofford-Bunn's sister)

The unnamed bank manager from the Francis Buhay (e-mail bandit) segment (even with a mouthful of braces I still thought she was hot)

Finally, I know I'm probably going to get chewed on these last two, but just because you're evil doesn't mean it's impossible to be amazingly gorgeous, and I just can't say enough in that respect about these two despite their unsavory personalities:

Chantal Laverau (Rolex Robber)

Tyger Hoag (mother of Brianna Smith and Ryan Heath; wanted for parental abduction)

I forgot her name, but Nancy Manni's friend who received letters from when she was a Steward on the S.S. Maiaquez (I thought she was pretty, and I liked her voice; it had a naturally bored tone that I found sexy)
Also, Sarah Powell; I mean, she was only two years younger than me when her segment aired (or less; I don't know if she already had her birthday in 1993), so she would have been someone I'd liked to have "went out" with back then. I imagine she matured into a very attractive woman, so that's another factor for me.

When I was about 14 years old, I had a crush on Linda Mann, who at that point wasn't too much older than me. Now that I think back, that makes me crack up, considering what a laughably bad UM segment she was on, and that she was a bit too frisky for Alan Mann, much less anyone who isn't a big fellow like him! :) I always felt that possession-in-the-bedroom story to be a bit far-fetched.

Also, Elaine Parent, both in the real photo of her in the black blouse/night photo, and the lady who played her while speaking to Beverly McGowan on the couch. (No, not the one at the travel agency). :)

I hope this isn't terrible to say in light of what crime was committed on that poor lady, but the lady who re-enacted the victim of Dr. Kenneth Frank (the one who confronts him in the bar) was very pretty.

Dale Williams (where ever that poor man is) looked outdoorsy to me too, and a country boy type too. I wonder how his poor family is doing these days. :(

As for Jeff Oberholtzer's wife, I wonder if she's still with her "girlfriend".

Hi Jeff, we're living. :) Thanks for thinking of us. There haven't been any huge developments in the case, tho we do have a new crew of great investigators. It's a nice change and I know they are doing their very best.
My dad was an outdoorsy fella. He loved 4x4ing, camping, picnicking, water skiing. :)
When we were growing up, we had an old wood stove to heat the house in the living room. I remember he would wake my sister and I up in the winter about midnight or so and ask us if we wanted a hot dog. LOL he'd roast them in the wood stove for us and we'd sit around in our jammies, in the middle of the night, eating Wrangler hot dogs. He nor my mom ever yelled at us girls, and both were wonderful parents who gave us such a wonderful raising that we've each carried on to our own children. His love for a child's laugh was so big and just loved to make kids smile. He's dress up as Santa Clause and visit kids around town, around 7-8pm, driving his old el camino, that most kids knew belonged to him. Then couldn't put the two together tho why Santa had Dale's car. haha. Every kiddo in town had a nickname, Suzy the Doozie, Wadledorf.... Halloween was his favorite holiday and boy would we celebrate! This is my favorite time of year.
So that's where we are, keeping good memories alive, which isn't difficult because there are so many, and just waiting patiently, hoping for a break.

What can I say? I have thing for tall guys. I normally prefer clean cut but I can dig the whole "kid rock from the 80s trailer park living with his mom until 35" vibe.

I also had a major thing for Jenny Pratt...man was she good looking and sweet as candy. I also had a thing for the woman who played Ann Sigmin in the re-enactment. I find that happens a lot no matter guy or girl....sometimes the people in the re-enactment look nothing like the real person

And what's so wrong with living with your mom until you are 35??? I always thought that was a big turn on for girls. Ive been doing it wrong all these years.....all those years wasted on living with my mom playing dungeons and dragons while sitting in my underwear eating cheetos.
