View Full Version : Angriest messages you have ever posted on SitcomsOnline
Big C 11-07-2008, 03:00 AM Sometimes, we blow a gasket and post messages fueled by anger.
Can you recall any instances where you or someone you know well on SO posted a message fueled by anger?
Wreckless 11-07-2008, 03:04 AM You know I've gotten really angry in the sports forum. That's the only area I shed frustration, anger and impatience. Otherwise I'm good. But yeah, you were pissed tonight lol.
Wreckless 11-07-2008, 03:13 AM As far as getting angry in sports- yes that's one of the reasons me and him are different. Besides that, not in technical terms, but we are 2 different people personality wise.
Brad Russ 11-07-2008, 03:44 AM Truthfully I don't even look at my angry messages anymore, and rarely participate in angry threads these days. It's like I said many times before, I come online to get away from drama, not to participate in it. I make myself sick even recalling those things!!
Mr. Television 11-07-2008, 03:50 AM Truthfully I don't even look at my angry messages anymore, and rarely participate in angry threads these days. It's like I said many times before, I come online to get away from drama, not to participate in it. I make myself sick even recalling those things!!
I totally agree with you. I'm embarrassed at some of the fights I used to have on this site. Most of them were stupid. .
Stormtracker TF 11-07-2008, 04:05 AM I totally agree with you. I'm embarrassed at some of the fights I used to have on this site. Most of them were stupid. .
Same here.
But they're hilarious to look back on.
Hollow 11-07-2008, 04:10 AM Hahahahahahaha. I see the cowardly moderator who edited my post and removed completely CONSERVATIVE sentences i used (and i'm not being a smartass. actually kinda) has yet to speak up for their poor self. If you don't, I shall find out for myself. After a thorough analysis, I WILL KNOW WHO DID IT, AND THEY WILL BE SORRY!!!!! *begins roaming the land in search of this evil FOOL, armed with weapons, followed by a troop of people holding big flaming sticks to guide way*
Schmoopie 11-07-2008, 04:29 AM Usually if I lash out in a post or thread, it's because of an event that's happened. I've gotten angry while reading some responses on this board, but I've never lashed out at anyone in anger (I hope not anyway). I did that once on another board and was basically labled a troublemaker.
Actually that's why I love message boards like this one. You see something in a magazine, TV show, newspaper, the news, etc that angers you and if the people around you don't agree with your anger (or don't understand it), you can pretty much guarantee that if you post about it on a message board, that someone will sympathize with you-eventually.
I've actually thought of these message boards like therapy! It really does help to get your anger out, as long as you aren't offending or attacking anyone.
Andrea
MusicJunkie 11-07-2008, 04:45 AM I've posted some angry **** in my time. I admit to having my posting access blocked in Politics because some issues (gay rights, Obama-bashing, etc...) that it's not worth getting my blood boiling.
OH Nuts! 11-07-2008, 06:49 AM I haven't made a REALLY angry post yet 99.99% when I want to it's because of a troll post. When I feel like that, I report it to the Mods. If I'm really steamed abt something I usually share it in a pm to a friend on the boards.
TripperFan 11-07-2008, 01:11 PM Truthfully I don't even look at my angry messages anymore, and rarely participate in angry threads these days. It's like I said many times before, I come online to get away from drama, not to participate in it. I make myself sick even recalling those things!!
Same here, I was going to say that I don't even want to try to go back and pull posts from the old politics board days. I seriously would end up in tears sometimes and my hands shaking as I typed I'd be so wound up.
I do like a good discussion, it can even get a bit heated, but if I feel I might "go to the bad place", I just get up from the computer and watch t.v. or something. I'm trying to eliminate the drama from my life not add to it now.
TripperFan 11-07-2008, 01:14 PM LOL - at least with your anger Sarah you get so creative! I just got a visual from Young Frankenstein when the villagers are out looking for him!!
Janice 11-07-2008, 01:18 PM Bad idea. It's always a bad idea to bring up old fights. If someone wants to tell a tale, leave names out of it. Otherwise, it's nothing more than gossip and opening old wounds. Also, don't bring disagreements from one board to another.
MrCleveland 11-07-2008, 02:05 PM I'm angry at my own city and state!
The sports teams suck so bad that I have called all of them The Cleveland Steamers since none of them will ever win a championship and Issue 6 didn't pass and they're going to try that issue again next year.
There's never next year for Cleveland!

You're not alone my friend - remember, there's Toronto on the north side of the lake where all our teams blow too! We're now countin' 41 years since a Stanley Cup win! ;)
 "Cleveland Steamers" !!!!
dawsongirl 11-07-2008, 07:01 PM Of course. I'm sure there's plenty on the random board. I have quite a temper. They usually consist of a lot of ****ing this and ******* that.
I'd rather not remember my angry outbursts. Unfortunately, they can all still be easily found.
EmoJoe 11-07-2008, 09:00 PM probably ones from like 2004 when i was an immature angsty tween
Dr. John Becker 11-07-2008, 10:50 PM Completely O/T, Stormtracker, but i love your avatar
Yooch 11-07-2008, 10:57 PM My angriest messages, sorry to say, have been my most recent ones, particularly the week before the election. I stated my opinion too forcefully on occasion. I hope I stopped short of hurting anyone's feelings or name calling. That's why I withdrew for a few days. There are nice people and friends here with whom I don't always agree politically--and it's more important to me that we stay friends, than allow my passion for a candidate or cause to override that in any way.
littlebelle 11-08-2008, 10:04 PM I try to never be hostile on here... I try anyway. Mostly it's on the political or sports board that I get angry, or when somebodies talking like a sucker or making pointed comments.
Big C 11-08-2008, 10:16 PM when somebodies talking like a sucker or making pointed comments.
What do you mean by sucker?
BTW, I'm closing in on 1,000 posts just like you!
Karen* 11-09-2008, 09:20 AM After Carrie Underwood won American Idol in 2005, I sure was a little betch about it. LOL.
ekkostar 11-09-2008, 10:25 AM The only time I'm really pissy (I can say that here, right?) is when it's the rare post about current Boston Legal. I try to stay out of threads like that, but sometimes the temptation is too much. For some twisted reason I enjoy hating on Carl Sack.
As much as I enjoy Mariah Carey's music, I like to call her FAT SL*T and cop negativity. Blame it on the influence of the Mariah board over on Moopy.org.uk. I try not to bring that over here, but I'm terrible on Oh No They Didn't.
bandito 11-09-2008, 11:13 AM Bad idea. It's always a bad idea to bring up old fights. If someone wants to tell a tale, leave names out of it. Otherwise, it's nothing more than gossip and opening old wounds. Also, don't bring disagreements from one board to another.I agree. This thread is pointless.
Yooch 11-09-2008, 03:54 PM I agree. This thread is pointless.
Why do you think it's pointless? I looked back through the posts, and it's been sounding pretty civil to me. I looked at this thread as a way to 'clear the air' so to speak and a chance for people, including myself, to extend an olive branch. I don't see the posts as having gotten too personal in any way. I've interpreted them as almost self-critical, if anything. Am I missing something?
catlover79 11-09-2008, 04:20 PM I personally never have. If I have an issue with someone (online AND offline) I tend to keep it very private.
catlover79 11-09-2008, 04:26 PM ^ I take it back. By far the angriest post I have here is my rant against Midas when I received horrible service from them last year.

You're probably not seeing posts get that are too critical because it's not allowed. Most longtime members know that if they start posting fight threads, they'll be removed, as they serve no purpose. These threads have been attempted through the years and usually end up in disaster for a few reasons. Most people here (myself included) have made posts that they would rather forget. Most people prefer to leave posts of that nature in the past. I've seen many members delete a lot of their past posts. Moderators can still see the posts (marked deleted), while members cannot.
Still, suppose a member posts a thread here where they went off on another person. They may think it's their shining moment. Imagine how the target of their outburst feels having to revisit a painful episode. If you do a search for "Apology" here, there are a few threads to express remorse. I think I made one this year called, The Olive Branch. Brian Damage made one a few months ago. That's a better idea than bringing up angry posts.

Oh you Executives - you get to see all the good stuff!
Seriously tho, I see what Yooch means, when I read FSU's first post I wasn't sure if he was going to go into details, but didn't and the tone was set for "I feel so stupid sometimes". It actually made me think back on what a dork I've been - even though I STILL might not want to apologize to some (actually those people are now no longer on here anyway) but that it just looks so stupid when you look back at some of your own posts.
At least so far everyone has been pretty good and not going into details or linking threads (I wouldn't look at them really anyway). And like Catlover, there are times where your angriest posts are about other things (like Midas) rather than fights with other members.
Anyone who's read a few of these posts will certainly understand "the ground rules"....and if not....."Vice President In Charge Of No Sh*t Disturbing Janice and Her Posse" will take 'em to task!
And it's probably my warped mind, but some people may want to take that olive branch and beat someone senseless with it!! (I'm being a pain in the ass today aren't I?)

FSU posted at least a half dozen links where he told off another member, just the day before. No remorse, just look at what I did. What purpose does that serve? I removed them. I don't have a posse either.

oh I didn't realize or read them - sorry was just kidding about the vp and posse thing too.
Janice 11-09-2008, 05:07 PM Since we're clearing the air, let me add that FSU didn't post his outbursts against this particular person for goodwill. He can't stand the person, to the point that he made a bashing thread against the person recently. This thread was made as a "Look what I did. I really told him." No other reason, and not to set a tone for remorse, peace or regret.

i didn't realize there was a history there. Then the thread should be locked done if it wasn't made in goodwill.

Janice,
I posted my responses because I don't like Solomon's pessimistic sports attitude.
I just don't like it when someone calls players and teams offensive names or refuses to give credit to teams that win.
Big C 11-09-2008, 05:59 PM He can't stand the person, to the point that he made a bashing thread against the person recently. This thread was made as a "Look what I did. I really told him."
That was a "I don't like his views, attitudes and thoughts on sports" idea. I don't like pessimists.

There's no rule against being a pessimist, just as there is no rule against calling players or teams names or refusing to give them credit. The Sports forum is what it is. You're not going to stroll along and think that you're going to change a person or anything. Just as I told you when you made that thread against him on the Sports board, and when I removed your links in this thread - that's what's against the rules. You're breaking the rules, not Solomon. This thread is really against the rules when I think of it. You made it for no other reason than to make another member look bad. We don't openly gossip here. There's a few other message boards where you can rip members apart. I know of a few. It's great. Act like your friend here, and rag on you there!
Wreckless 11-09-2008, 06:36 PM Yeah I had that problem for awhile- Janice set me straight lol..
Janice 11-09-2008, 06:38 PM Yeah I had that problem for awhile- Janice set me straight lol..
LOL. Yeah, Solomon takes a while to get used to, and some never do. Still, if a person doesn't break the rules, they're not going anywhere.
Big C 11-09-2008, 06:41 PM I sent a private message to Solomon telling him my true feeling and thoughts about this.
I have nothing against him as a person, and I would never wish anything bad on him- NEVER.
It's just that I always grew up thinking that when a team wins, they deserve some credit.
Honestly, the only thing he ever did that really hurt my feelings was when he thought that Ramona (littlebelle) was a bandwagon fan.
I respect him as a person- I just get slightly irked when he says certain things.
Wreckless 11-09-2008, 06:49 PM LOL. Yeah, Solomon takes a while to get used to, and some never do. Still, if a person doesn't break the rules, they're not going anywhere.

Everyone throws around the term bandwagon fan. That's not an insult, just a sport's term. I should hope you'd never wish anything bad on him. This is Solomon's way. Put him on ignore if he bothers you so much, but you've got to stop this crusade against him....e.g.. the bashing thread you made against him that I deleted on the Sport's board and this thread, which I think you hoped would turn into a "Great job, FSU!" That's not respecting a person. We don't openly gossip about members here. It's not done. You might try to get to know him and end up being friends. I think Wreckless and Solomon are friendly now, despite a very rocky start.

I think we all just get caught in the heat of the moment. You seem like a cool dude- like Janice said, some people take awhile to get used to, I'm not gonna point anybody in particular out because anybody can get on anybody else's nerves. I agree with you about the credit issue, but we can't change him, so nothing we can do. You can still have your opinion, just don't cross boundaries and break rules like Janice mentioned. That's good about PMing him, at least you're trying your best now, to make the best of what happened and to recover.
TVFactFan 11-09-2008, 06:52 PM Yeah Just remember everyone not to take things seriously on the Sports Boards and that
Sports is-"THE TOY DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN LIFE"
LOL
Big C 11-09-2008, 06:53 PM I should hope you'd never wish anything bad on him.
Why would I?
The only people I wish bad things against are the truly horrible people in our world (criminals, killers, people who intentionally hurt others, etc.)
Solomon is not that type of person.

I actually reported this thread the minute it was made because I thought it was a bad idea and because FSU posted his bashing links from the Sports Board. It's one thing to lose your cool ( we've all done it), but not to gloat about it and make other threads congratulating yourself for doing it.

You actually said that you hated him over there. And then when I made a post you wanted to know what I thought about you blowing a gasket. I don't have any problems with you having disagreements with him over there...sometimes we all lose it especially when our teams lose but sooner or later you have to let it go or it begins to take over the whole board.
Big C 11-09-2008, 07:16 PM You actually said that you hated him over there.
I was in a bad mood because of what he said about the Broncos.
I just don't like it when people don't give credit for wins. Just because a team doesn't look great in victory doesn't mean it shouldn't be discredited. It's called winning ugly.
Your Cowboys won ugly in a low-scoring game against Tampa, kinda like Denver won ugly in a high-scoring game.
MusicJunkie 11-09-2008, 07:24 PM well, Solomon is Solomon... who hasn't argued with him at one time or another?
You have to admit he is genuinely unique and SO wouldn't be the same without him. Knowing what I know and have read about OCD, I can sorta understand some of his ideas about why certain things aren't what they're supposed to be, etc...

Yea but you know what...The Cowboys still suck and I'm not too proud to admit it. I give them credit for winning that game but they still aren't playing that great. I might understand if you were a Denver fan but I don't think their are any Bronco fans on SO. Their have been times when some members have gotten to me. I might have even blown up at a few of them. It's something I'm not exactly proud of. Sometimes its best to just ignore someone if they really bug you. Life is too short to get so angry about people on a message board. I might not have always followed that rule but having been through alot around here, it seems like a great idea now. Its just a suggestion.
Big C 11-09-2008, 07:33 PM I might understand if you were a Denver fan but I don't think their are any Bronco fans on SO.
Not a Bronco fan, but Jay Cutler's on my fantasy team.

I don't have no damm OCD-lol Well maybe when it comes to the Eagles
MusicJunkie 11-09-2008, 08:27 PM I don't have no damm OCD-lol Well maybe when it comes to the Eagles
There's nothing wrong with having OCD. But it makes sense, if it eats at you because Dominos serves sandwiches or someone eats Sunday food on Wednesday, that's pretty OCD. You have to have things perfect and anything that deviates from that irks you to no end. Not judging, OCD isn't a choice or anything.

Thanks for the info, Janice. :)
veggie-tari-jenn 11-11-2008, 04:15 AM I am not sure if it came off angry or not...but it was a topic about Peta and the group and its members were called idiots and stuff like that...and as a member I took offense to it...but for the most part just like to chill and come here and chat a bit....not fight...I am really happy that Andrea:) told me about this place and that I finally joined...I enjoy coming here and chatting...ESP in the Sports Section to be honest...I am a Sports Junkie and could talk Sports all day and night and like to mix it up with the people in there...Sooo looking forward to some more lively sports debates:)

littlebelle 11-11-2008, 08:51 PM Not to be a muckraker or anything FSU, but remember that time awhile back when you wrote an angry thread at me? I'm only saying this because I was going through my old posts and threads and came across it and thought "I don't think Chris has ever gotten that mad at me before" LOL.

That was before I knew why you were absent.
I had NO idea about the school shootings that occured where your relatives were.
At the time, I thought you were busy with something else.
Looking back on it, I feel AWFUL about that.
If I had been told what really happened, I would never have that.
