I am really surprised this worked, but I sent an email to the "new" Unsolved Mysteries asking how many episodes of Final Appeal were made and the subjects of each and here is what they told me...

***********************************

Hi Justin,

Here is the information we have on the Final Appeal stories:

9/18/92 - Jeffrey MacDonald.
9/25/92 - Paul Ferrell.
10/2/92 - Steve Shores.
10/9/92 - Tony Miller.
10/16/92 - Dan Montecalvo.
10/23/92 - Thomas Drake.

The John Purvis / Susan Hamwi case was a Final Appeal case as far as category, but was only for the "Unsolved Mysteries" show. It aired originally on 3/10/93.

Hope this helps,

The UNSOLVED MYSTERIES Staff

So there you have it. 6 episodes aired. John Purvis wasn't one of them.

I also recently received the Final Appeal episode of Paul Ferrell and hope to post a review soon.

BTW, who are Steve Shores and Thomas Drake? Anyone know anything about their cases?

Spike showed the Steve Shores one today. Not sure if they've ever shown the Tony Miller one but thats one I'd like to see.

Funny you should mention that as I just received an email today from a guy who said he was an actor in the Tony Miller segment. He didn't have it on tape, unfortunately.

There is a description on the TV Guide website that sounds like the Tony Miller segment, but I don't know if this has aired or not as it was one of those days that Spike may have pre-empted it.

Actually, that list I got from CM was of all the episodes of the short lived Final Appeal television series.

It was not meant to be an all encompassing list of Final Appeal segments that were on Unsolved Mysteries itself.

I did a write up of the Tony Miller case here. The page also has some info on the short lived Final Appeal TV series...
