I saw Tina perform live last night. I've only been a tepid fan of hers in years past. I've always admired her, though, for her staying power. I especially admire her for finally getting out of her abusive relationship with Ike, and doing things on her own. Even though I was that "tepid fan" I wanted to see her live because she was one of those acts that I wanted to see at least once in my life. It looked like she sold out the arena. With ticket prices the way they are now, how many people can say that they're selling out their shows anymore? I hear even Madonna's ticket sales are not going as well.

I only have one word decribing the show - WOW!! No, make that 2 words - unbelievable!! If you don't know how old she was, you would never know that she was 68!! She danced & sang like she was 20-30 years younger, and I don't know how she can walk in those heels!;) She put on a 2 1/2 hour show, too! Unfortunately, you don't see that much anymore from the "older acts".

Definitely one of the best shows I've been to. That's saying a lot!!

I'd love to see her, but really can't afford her ticket prices right now. I'd rather not pay $80 for one of the worst seats. Glad you have such a great time, though!

Yeah, I absolutely know what you mean about the tickets prices. I've have to be a bit picky about who I see anymore, and not too often do I get the expensive tickets. It has to be somebody who I really, really, really, really like to pay that much money.

I ended up paying $60 for my ticket and I sat up in the 400's!! It wasn't too bad. I mean I was still able to recognize her on stage!!:D

I saw Tina on her "farewell" tour in 2000 and she totally kicked ass. I agree with Phoebe that you don't truly appreciate her as a performer until you've seen her in the flesh. She has more energy at her age that many performers who are 1/3 her age.

Just out of curiosity I did a search to see the best seats available and I could have gotten third row center. If I had the $160 to spend on it, I would definitely be there!
