I swear to God, what is up with people? This world is getting worse and worse! First we have a stupid b***h that refuses to give out candy to Obama supporters and doesn't care if the kids cry (see the political board for that one), and now this tragic story. The guy actually thought that he was going to be robbed.:angryfire Hello? If you don't want people to come to your door, TURN OFF THE LIGHT! :bonk:
Any loss of a child is tragic but to lose a child this way is absolutely unthinkable.
So much for parents wanting to bond with their kids by taking them trick or treating.:cuss:

it sounds like he was under the influence of something, albeit equally responsible of course. makes me think of the guy who called 911 because he was surrounded by cops, too drunk to realize they were cops.
that's a terrible tragedy. i hate halloween. if i had kids i'd probably just buy them candy for the occasion rather them letting them go trick or treating. first you have to watch out for nuts like this guy, and then inspect all the candy for hidden razor blades and poison.

I think it's best to only go to the house of people you know. Strangers are getting, well stranger as the years go on... :(
The shooter has multiple drug convictions, nearly 8 grand in cash sitting around in the house, and an AK-47 assault rifle.
Sounds like a fine upstanding citizen to me.

That is tragic :( A mother and her 9 year-old son were killed by a car while trick-or-treating here in MA.

That is so true, to only go to houses of people you know. We have a trick or treat event on the Seattle waterfront that is always very cool. Only thing is that they always do it the Sunday before Halloween. The kids can go to the aquarium which is decorated like an undersea castle and get bags of candy, cookies and all kinds of stuff. It's so fun to watch all the kids come in wearing their adorable costumes! And other stores along the waterfront give out trick or treat stuff too! Makes me wish I was a kid again!
