One would think it appeals to sophisticated black women, and possibly black men because of the attractive actresses. Obviously the shows appeal is broader than just those two groups. I'm sure there are some elderly white women in Utah who love the show. But my curiosity is about significant numbers.

It would be wonderful to see a breakdown of just who's watching, because this show has a different feel than just about any other black sitcom ever produced. There may be a handful of black sitcoms that one could mention with a similar vibe, but it probably would be a bit of a reach. This show is truly unique. It's about as far from 'Good Times' and 'What's happening' as you can get.

well, speaking as a black male, it appeals to me because i love seeing the sex lives of attractive black women. it's interesting to get a "fly-on-the-wall" viewpoint of what it takes to bed these divas. lol lol lol

This show is like the "Clueless" and "7th Heaven" combination to me.

At least, this show is not like its spin-off "The Game". They made that Tasha character in that show worser than that old Emily Gilmore type of character from Gilmore Girls.
