I decided to create a thread to one, if not, the nicest person, I have ever had the pleasure of knowing.
Brad, you do not realize how much you make a person smile. Especially, when that same person is feeling down.
You are truly a remarkable and a special human being. And, as I mentioned, many of times. I feel blessed to call you a friend.


And, I know I am not the only member of this board, that thinks Brad is, an amazing and an awesome, person=)

Brad's the nicest guy I've ever had the pleasure to know. I'm so thankful that he's become a part of my life, I'm very lucky to have such a wonderful friend! Wow, I don't even know what to say!!! This was so unexpected, and I am not use to being complimented this way. I saw the title for this thread last night, and I emailed Tara apologizing for not being able to read it just then. It's embarrassing to admit, but as soon as I saw the title I started to cry. lol! I'm kind of a softy at times. :lol: I have my composure now so hopefully I won't make a fool of myself too badly. Haha! And if I do, oh well. It won't be the first or last time. Anyway, Tripperfan mentioned something that I really want to address. She mentioned my motives when I first started chatting with her. I think the reason people sometimes wonder that about me upon first meeting me is because they don't realize where I've been. When I first came to S.O. back in 2002, I had literally been housebound for nine years. I had agoraphobia, and for 10 years I was literally locked away in my room with no friends. I hadn't hugged my mom or told her I loved her in 10 years, and I had very little socialization during those years. When I initially joined S.O. I was pretty shy, and not too well known for my first couple years. Then I came upon the Chit Chat board, and slowly but surely my life began to change. I started to socialize, and grow relationships little by little, and before you knew it, I was no longer some shut in who was afraid of people, I was a shut in who started to realize that not all people were bad like I had previously thought. The reason I am so passionate in my words sometimes, isn't for ulterior motives, it's because I'm so grateful in the part S.O. has had in changing my life for the better. The way I feel, life is way too short to not tell people how you really feel, and I'm just making up for lost time. :D I honestly do love everyone here, but there are a small handful who had the biggest part in changing my life. They know who they are. :) I know much of what I've just said may sound corny, but it's the truth, and it's something I needed to say. THIS WEBSITE CHANGED MY LIFE, AND MORE IMPORTANTELY, ALL OF YOU HAVE CHANGED MY LIFE!!! You guys' are truly the best things going online today, and I thank you ALL for your kind words. :heart: :heart: :heart: :heart:

You hear from me Jen, it's only been a little over a week since we last spoke. :confused: Unfortunately I haven't been in very good contact with many of you guys lately. Until last night, I hadn't spoken to hardly anyone much, simply because I'm dealing with some issues that Iv'e refused to talk about here, and have been working alot more. That's part of the reason I was so touched by this thread, I was amazed that despite my lack of personal presence, people would be so kind. I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings, but I still consider you a good friend. The same way I consider everyone who I haven't been in great touch with friends. :)

I'm so glad I was able to make you feel better, and I want you to know that I truly meant every word I said. You have always been there for me as a friend, and don't ever forget that!!! We all feel like we're not as good of friends with people as we should be at times, that's just what makes us human. Despite all the beautiful words spoken of me in this thread, I'm sadly at times the worst friend imagineable, but fortunately I have great people in my life who are able to forgive me for those shortcomings, and so do you, so please don't beat yourself up about it. :)

I don't know Brad well, but from what I do know about him he seems to be a really cool guy. Like me, has gone through some dark periods in his life, but has made it through into the light. Brad is an inspiration to never give up.

Thanks Janice!! :D It's amazing how God will sometimes allow us to recieve a message like this when we absolutely need it the most. and believe me, I really needed to hear this!!! I've been feeling like such a jerk lately in regards to how bad of a friend I can sometimes be. I give people advice about how they shouldn't feel bad, but I can't seem to be able to take my own advice at times. :( It just means so much to me that you know that even when we sometimes don't chat for awhile, that it doesn't take away from how I feel about you, or how you feel about me. You are the most amazing friend a person COULD EVER have, and I thank you for staying such a good friend with me over the years. I know I do - I'll only let a very few close friends in as I don't want to be a bummer to everyone. I know friends are there for the good and bad times, but you don't want it to be a "social event". You'll get thru it tho - and come out stronger than ever in the end. Thankfully, that's the way God works. Took me a while to figure that out. ;)
