Bee Gees singer Robin Gibb has never seen hit dance movie Saturday Night Fever - even though the band recorded its infamous soundtrack. Gibb admits he has never managed to watch the entire film because he gets "restless" - and even walked out of the premiere after just 30 minutes.

The Bee Gees provided several hit songs for the 1977 John Travolta classic, including the title track.

But Gibb tells BBC Radio 4, "It's not that I can't watch it. It's just that I'm restless. We didn't see the film until the premiere. (I) lasted half an hour... That actually is par for the course, because a lot of actors will go into a premiere and then go out the exit."

Gibb also confirms he and his Bee Gees brother Barry are considering an onstage reunion next year to celebrate the launch of a musical based on the band's career - despite the death of third member Maurice Gibb in 2003.

He adds: "We are closer to that than we've ever been. It's definitely maybe."

That's funny! Very cool that he and Barry are trying to stage a reunion. That might be fun to watch! I always thought Barry was the best looking Bee Gee and I still love their music! SNF? Well, believe it or not, I finally was able to see this movie in it's entireity on TV last year for the FIRST time! When it first came out I was 10, I think (1977, right?), so no way was I allowed to watch it! But believe me, I had the album and I about wore it out listening to it! Watching SNF now is kind of annoying, so I can see where it would get on Robin's nerves!

well, if he hates Saturday Night Fever, what does he think about "Staying Alive"?

To be honest, I like the music much more than the movie myself for SNF, I guess it was just before my time but all the 70's fashions is blinding, but I love the soundtrack.

I am glad that Barry and Robin are staging a comeback. I've read the two of them were never really that close and Maurice was always the glue that held them together

I am an avid Brothers Gibb fan and am happy that Barry and Robin are considering a comeback. It's also great that they are becoming closer (from the bios I've seen/read, Barry was closest to Andy and Robin was closer to Maurice, his twin). As for SNF, as much as I love the music, I never could get into the movie either, apart from the dance scenes.
