apart from Bilko himself, Colonel Hall is the main man! Brilliant.

Favorite Sgt.: Ritzik

Favorite platoon member: Zimmerman.... But Doberman, Papperelli and Fender are also great, even Mullen can be pretty funny at times.

The Colonel is also very funny, as is Grover. Come to think of it, the outstanding thing about this show is the cast, not the writing.

Oh, I forgot Fleischman - he is really good!

Col. Hall really cracks me up...especially when Bilko starts his line of schmoozing B.S.....Hall just mutters to himself, "Here we go!". I find that HILARIOUS! :lol:

Paul Ford , aka Col. John Hall was so funny, I'll never forget the time when he said " why does it always have to be Bilko? It's Bilko" and the time when Bilko WANTS to go on manuvers, then realizes it's because of Las Vegas. He can't sleep until he realised vegas was close. HAHAHA. :lol:

I just found this message board by accident. I'm sorry to have missed out on all this fun.....imagine a message board with people talking about Bilko! I'm in heaven.

Rupert Ritzik is my favorite character, but I agree that every cast member is perfect in their role and gave us all something to enjoy.

How about a few kudos to Beatrice Pons as Emma Ritzik? She's awfully good and the true female standout in a predominantly male show.

I also give standing ovations to Colonel Hall, Zimmerman, Grover and Paparelli.

How about Colonel Hall's classic when referring to Bilko's gambling, "When I sit down to breakfast and look at my eggs, I see Bilko collecting money from someone who had me down for pancakes!"
