In a magazine I bought it gave a helpful tip on how to clean a coffee maker using 2 parts water, 1 part vinegar.....how much is a part? Sorry, I'm not domestic at all and I want to clean the coffee maker for my husband but don't want to screw this up so his coffee will taste like vinegar! PLEASE HELP!

its just a ratio so it doesn't matter how much a 'part' is; basically just mix in twice as much water as you do vinegar, for example, 2 cups water to 1 cup vinegar.

Exactly - a "part" is any size you want, just as long as it's 2 parts of water to 1 part solution. i.e. a bucket, a can, a jug, a cup, a quart...etc.

Hey, don't feel bad at all! It wasn't a stupid question in the least. You'd think they would elaborate on how much water/vinegar to put in instead of making people guess about how much a "part" is.

Actually, I had the same problem with hummingbird food. What really had me baffled was that the food was a powder and you were to mix it with water. That threw me for a loop! lol (it ended up being the same thing anyway whether it was liquid or solid).
