RUFF & REDDY
KING LEONARDO & HIS SHORT SUBJECTS
TENNESSEE TUXEDO
UNDERDOG
THE BEATLES
THE BULLWINKLE SHOW
THE BUGS BUNNY SHOW

Yeah, I think HR Puffin Stuff was also courtesy of Sid & Marty Krofft. I had mentioned a few other of their shows in my post - Lidsville, Land of the Lost(with those terrible special effects!!:D ) and Sigmund & the Sea Monsters. Loved all of them!!

I didn't think you were from my time - pegged you as a 70's-'80s kid. Speaking of the Kroffts, I used to LOVE HR Puffnstuf AND Lidsville! Plus, I've heard there's going to be a "Land of the Lost" movie coming out in 2009 (for anyone who's interested)

Yeah, I heard about that, too. Heard Will Ferrell was supposed to be in it.

not really a cartoon but i used to enjoy the old mcdonaldsland commercials they'd play predominantly on saturday mornings. i loved hamburglar, grimace, birdie, and the mcnuggets. they don't play those anymore, you hardly ever see ronald mcdonald either these days in ads because of the laws that you can't market to children. sometimes being pc stinks!

Hey cool, I liked ABC's "One Saturday Morning" as well. As a matter of fact, I remember the entire schedule from the 1997-98 season, it went as follows:

8:00 AM - 101 Dalmatians (the cartoon series)
8:30 AM - "One Saturday Morning" (had an episode of "Brand Spanking New Doug," "Recess," & "Pepper Ann" shown during this time, as well as some 5-minute segments such as "Mrs. Munger's Class" & "Monkey Boys.")
10:30 AM - The Bugs Bunny & Tweety Show
11:30 AM - Jungle Cubs
12:00 PM - Winnie the Pooh
12:30 PM - Science Court

When this stopped in 2002, Saturday mornings just weren't the same anymore.

When I was in grade school (up to 1984) I watched Tom and Jerry and The Bugs Bunny/Road Runner Show on Saturday mornings.

Then in 1988 CBS debuted Garfield and Friends, which I decided to try since I enjoyed the Jim Davis comic strip. However, it didn't hold a candle to the strip and I quit watching within a year. Recently I found a list of the episodes at Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Garfield_and_Friends_episodes), which was helpful since one of the October 1, 1988, cartoons scared me--I found out it was about Garfield's overeating going too far.

Who here remembers a 60s cartoon called "THE BEAGLE BOYS"?

You must be thinking of The Beagles (although The Beagle Boys were
sometimes featured on Disney's DuckTales in the '80s). The Beagles
is a "lost" cartoon from the '60s (although I did manage to find a scarce
video tape online). It was produced by Total TV (producers of King
Leonardo, Tennessee Tuxedo, and Underdog). Unlike the other
TTV shows, it was never syndicated and has not been broadcast since it
first aired on CBS (Sept. 10, 1966-Sept. 2, 1967). I think that I read somewhere that the original prints were either lost or destroyed. The show
featured a rock 'n' rolling singing pair of dogs named Stringer (voiced by
Sandy Becker) and Tubby (Allen Swift).

Especially the one about Interjections - "Interjections - show excitement - or emotion - hallelujah - hallelujah yeaaaaahhhhhhh!!!!!"
Darn, that's the end!

Schoolhouse Rock was cool. It was only a 5-minute show, but it was
pretty neat. I remember that well. It aired on ABC in between shows.

that's it.

I remember the cartoons were done like a serial-each one ended with a cliffhanger that was resolved in the next one, like "UNDERDOG".
