Too much reliance on Yasmine Bleeth's curves?
Lack of a credible cast?
Dumb plots?

Something like that. It was a little too late for it's time. Can't really try and a follow a success like Melrose.

Sledge Hammer - Sledge Hammer!, he always got into trouble by his captain, but bailed out by his partner in crime.
Rick Hunter - Hunter - his superiors almost always disdained his methods of taking down criminals. Capt. Dolan (John Amos) in the 1st season especially always found a way to have it in for Hunter any chance he got. There was also even an episode where he subdued a bad guy with a choke-hold.
Stan Smith - American Dad!
catlover79 05-02-2009, 09:18 PM I guess I should add Sgt. Nick Yemana (Barney Miller) because he would blatantly use the office phones to place his (illegal) bets, and loved to bust bookies so he could make his bets with them so he WOULDN'T have to use the phones!! I love the looks on Larry's face whenever he tries to scheme things!
others:
The Smurfs - Brainy Smurf: not only as he comes off as a so-called know-it-all but his scheming gets him and sometimes everyone else under hot water many times.
E/R - Harold Stickley his schmoozing and hitting on every female at the Clark St. Hospital would get him many lawsuits if he were to do that today.

The Oleson Family - Little House on the Prairie
With one exception, Nels
Kristen 05-28-2012, 04:27 AM I can't believe, in 5 pages, no one has even mentioned Bob "Bulldog" Briscoe, of Frasier! The guy would sleep with just about any woman as long as she was willing (or at least breathing!).
Oh, and Ted Baxter of The Mary Tyler Moore Show! I'm pretty sure that praying on the air during a newscast in a blatant attempt to win an award qualifies as unethical!
Ooh, and Victoria Chase on Hot in Cleveland. How much lower can you get than pretending to have a rare disease in hopes of winning an award?!
