It feels like only Yesterday that I Love Lucy started airing on TV Land

Their definitely milking what's left of Lucy this month - looks like they don't want to waste any remaining airplays.

The Merrythons are always great - I'm glad to see they included Murphy Brown in the marathon. Too bad it couldn't air in a better slot, but why be greedy!

It's very sad to see I Love Lucy leaving TV Land. It's just a perfect fit for the channel. I'll miss seeing it on TV Land. I can watch the show any time I want, as I have the Complete Series Collection, however, there's something about seeing it on TV.

Yes, I have Hallmark, but I have never actually watched it. I guess 2009 will be the year I start watching it, as they will also be airing The Golden Girls. Hopefully, they'll schedule these two shows together on Hallmark. What a great scheduling opportunity!

That's the one thing I can say we disagree on, I feel the Merrythons is the worst thing about TV land because they always feature christmas eps from shows that's already on their schedule which wasn't the case in 1998/99

I agree with Sol--their Merrythons have gone downhill. They could spotlight shows not on their regular schedule like they did in the past.

As for Lucy on Hallmark, the old heart on satin opening will be back and I'll be curious to see what gets edited on their versions.

I still like the Merrythons. It's better than watching a marathon of Andy Griffith on Christmas, isn't it?

But I agree - if only they could showcase more variety in the marathon.

That's my problem with the Merry-thons now too. I wish I got to see most of the ones that had the real big amounts of variety.

I miss the old Merrythons, when it wasn't the same stuff everyday.

While everyone else grew up watching Frosty and Rudolph every Christmas, for me, I always looked forward to Laverne and Shirley singing at the mental institution, Mary Richards being stuck at work for the holidays, Carol Brady having laryngitis when she's supposed to sing at church, the Fonz pretending to have a family to go home to, the Bunkers having Christmas dinner with a draft dodger, etc. Looks like I'll be missing out on most of those this year.

I wonder what good ol WGN's gonna be doing...

WGN has some goodies coming for the holidays. I'll announce Thanksgiving soon and Christmas Eve/Day a month later. The Christmas marathon is going to be excellent. Also there will be a nice New Year's Eve/Day maathon. Thanksgiving and New Year's is one show each, but Christmas has a lot of variety that everyone will enjoy. Remember Munsters is on Halloween next week on WGN.

The I Love Lucy farewell marathon is now scheduled from 9AM-9PM. That's 12 hours where normally 24 episodes would fit in, but they're planning on 25. Will there be limited commercials? I wish TVLand would just make this marathon on the clock. All they'd have to do is extend the marathon by a half hour and end it at 9:30PM. That way all the episodes could air on the half hour like normal channels. I'm interested in this marathon but with their stupid off the clock scheduling they might lose me to the $100,000 Pyramid marathon on GSN and whatever goodies WGN decides to air.

Not sure what TV Land will do about that yet. All I know is that, that week Paid Programming is 6-9am for some reason rather than 5-7am.

So TVLand has sunk to the lowest form now, Paid Programming. What flaming joke of a channel this has become. I have not watched it in so long I know nothing about what is even on it anymore, but from what I am reading I am not missing anything. They might as well just axe this channel and give it a decent burial.

Celebrity couple Lisa Rinna and Harry Hamlin are ready to expose their lives to the cameras in an unscripted project for TV Land.

The network has ordered a pilot presentation of a project that would follow the lives of the husband-and-wife duo along with their two daughters.

The project is executive produced by Jason Carbone.

"Ever since I started here (in May 2006), I've been out in the marketplace looking for a celebrity couple with dynamic stories to tell, and when I met Lisa and Harry, it made sense," said Keith Cox, TV Land's executive vp development and original programming.

Should TV Land go forward with the project, said to have generated interest from a few cable networks, it will go straight to a half-hour series pickup targeted for a 2009 debut, Cox said.
