Why what happened? Is it just cause he can and he's that way. Reminds me of my parents- specifically my Mom. She used to read my AIM IMs as well, didn't appreciate it at all. I hope everything goes alright with you and your Dad at home, I'm here to talk.

I'm so sorry for you, and I can totally relate and I have been in your shoes before, I feel for you. Don't let your Dad push you around, you are not a bad person but people make other people feel bad when they have done NOTHING wrong, much like you haven't. Best of luck.

That's very true. I didn't move out until I was about 22, and it was hard living under my mom's rules, even though I was a college sophomore. I liked having my freedom. That's why when I moved out, I lived by myself and continued to do so until I got engaged.

No, he wants her to get a job. Which is unfair, since there are not a lot of job opporunities in her area. I mean, Lauren, is a good kid. That's the definition of OVERPROTECTIVE. And of all the kids I grew up with who had parents like that, they almost all rebelled and gave their parents more trouble than had they been given a bit of freedom and trust.

Wow, that's harsh! No TV on Sundays? What's up with that? When I turned 21 and was living at home after returning from college, my mom would actually get mad if I asked her if I could go somewhere. I was so used to asking permission, though! She told me that all she asks is that I call her if I'm not going to be home by 1am. I hope you are able to move out as soon as possible. Do you have any friends that have apartments you could room with?

I still live with my parents, and I'll be 26 next Sunday. They don't give a damn if I even stay here until I'm 40, but I'm planning on moving on January 20th. Like the President and Anthony, I will be moving out!

Parents are harsh these days. Yeah we use Blackboard at my college, to do work online. We take tests online, submit assignments and so much more. But yeah Lauren, don't take that crap from your parents, I know they are your parents but my Dad is an a**hole and I'm sick of his sh*t.
