I didn't mind some of the stuff on the list actually, but those hideous candy kisses (in the orange and black wrappers that half the time were permanently stuck to the candy) usually were used as stones for throwing at my brothers (and my brothers whipping them at my head)!


I loved getting candy apples actually, but of course, there had to be a full autopsy done on them and by the time my parents fingers were all over it I no longer wanted it!

For me it was icky rubber toys like spiders or bats. I didn't really like popcorn balls, either. I loved fun size Skittles and M&Ms to death and tried to hit every house that had Mars candy. :)

Those disgusting candies in either orange or black wrappers that were so hard you thought whoever gave it to you had held on to them since last Halloween - I could not STAND them! Not only that, they tasted like it too!

Also, any candy with nuts in it - that was a total downer for me.

I actually like candy corn, I have a whole bag of it in my room lol. Same goes for smarties, dum dums, tootsie rolls and those little strawberry wrapped candies...guess I'm a grandma, then. But I do agree with those necco wafers. nastiest things I've ever tasted. No idea how those things sell.

I remember those days. There were a couple of times when I was in college when those Gideons would go into student union buildings to pass bibles because they knew the students were just lounging around. I have about 6 of those mini bibles somewhere in my house.

If you haven't read this book, OMG, it's hysterical! I don't even have kids and I love it! I've read it so much I can recite it from memory, pretty much! It's totally worth a look if not buying it, even if you aren't a Jerry Seinfeld fan!

To me, the pennies were for Unicef so no biggy there. For teenagers, I have to admit, I handed out the oldest Kraft caramels. I think they were even petrified! That's whatchya get buddy when you've got a five o'clock shadow or didn't even bother to put on a costume!

Thats what I was gonna say along with Dental Floss...Mini Kleenex...I actually got this from a woman when I was younger she gave me a big speech about how she didnt eat sugar and couldnt see giving candy out with sugar in it...but everyone could use kleenex....:rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes:

I remember getting pennies from a few people when I was a kid. Of course, when I was a kid, pennies actually had some value!!:D

I always thought that the worse thing to give a kid is apples! Not candy apples or caramel apples, just regular apples. I mean, come on, kids want sugary, fattening candy on Halloween, not the wholesome goodness of apples!!:crazy:
