Hello everyone. I am currently a college student majoring in film and television production. This semester I am making a documentary on the evolution and variations of sitcom families over time. Basically i have a list of sitcoms I would like to focus on already but I would like some help gathering quotes from these shows about family. So basically if anyone can recall a season/episode in which ANYTHING was mentioned about family I would appreciate it. Thank you!

Here is the list of sitcoms I plan to utilize:

The Addams Family
Alf
All in the Family
The Andy Griffith Show
The Beverly Hillbillies
Bewitched
The Brady Bunch
The Cosby Show
Diff'rent Strokes
Family Ties
Father Knows Best
The Flintstones
Frasier
The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air
Full House
The Golden Girls
Good Times
Green Acres
Growing Pains
Happy Days
Home Improvement
I Love Lucy
Leave it to Beaver
Mama's Family
Married...With Children
Maude
The Munsters
The Nanny
The Partridge Family
Petticoat Junction
Reba
Roseanne
The Simpsons
Who's the Boss
The Wonder Years

I'm sure I can dig up some quotes on Happy Days. I know one off the bat. Give me a minute and I will spark some quotes. Good luck with your project.

One of the most memorable quotes from the show, and the last speaking part & thing said in the show.

Howard Cunningham: Well, what can I say? Both of our children are married now and they're starting out to build lives of their own. And I guess when you reach a milestone like this you have to have to reflect back on, on what you've done and, and what you've accomplished. Marion and I have not climbed Mount Everest or written a great American novel. But we've had the joy of raising two wonderful kids, and watching them and their friends grow up into loving adults. And now, we're gonna have the pleasure of watching them pass that love on to their children. And I guess no man or woman could ask for anything more. So thank you all for being, part of our family... To happy days.

I'm thinking for Diff'rent Strokes that you could check out the Adoption 2-part episode from season 2. That will likely have tons of family-related quotes.

Google quotes for Wonder Years, there are many.

What happens once you finish the project? Will it be made into a real documentary that will air on TV ever or is it just as a project for your school?

Welcome to the board, mwcmfgg! I can help you out with Full House. I haven't watched it in a while, but it would be fun to dig out my DVD's and find some family quotes for you! Good luck with your project! It sounds cool! I'd love to see it when it's finished! What's your deadline as far as the quotes are concerned?
