Even though the Bluejays, the Redwings, Lakers, and Patriots were all supposed to be the better team, I was still very concerned that it was that one chance that the Philly team would prevail and the closest team that almost made that happen was the Pats in 2005. All the other championship series were no where near stressful, the Bluejays won in Game 6, the Redwings swept the Flyers, the lakers beat the 76ers 4-1, but the Pats just squeaked past the Eagles and hopefully the rays don't need 7 games to beat the Phillies since they were in a much tougher divison with the redsox and yankees and was able to dethrone the champs. I keep telling myself that the rays are MUCH MUCH better than the Brewers, and Dodgers and even guys at my job are saying the rays are much better but I'm still not confident and I think it's because this is the series for the Title. No 1st round, or 2nd, round, Phillies win this series and they are the World Champs and that may just have a huge effect on my health and hope that it doesn't come down to that.

Please Rays, my dating life is not going the way I want it to right now so give me something to smile about at this point in time so I would be a total mess come next week.

For me, I am very content, happy & excited ;). I think if you seriously have health issues related to sports, it is because you look for Philly teams to lose too much, and you put too much emphasis on it. While I take sports very serious, as it is like a religion to me , I don't look for one team to lose and if that team wins that year, championship or not, I don't care. For example, the 3 teams I probably dislike the most in the 4 major sports: Cowboys, Mets & Patriots, any Boston sports team/NY baseball team. I would probably be close to you as far as saying all of this, if those teams were in this position, but they are not at this moment, so thank the lord :).

The local media here is annoying and they haven't even won yet so I can't even imagine how it would be if they actually did win it. And keep in mind the media was a lot different in 1983 than it is now and I think I would be just sick

That's true, but the media in New York, is just as bad, most likely even worst for any of the sports their.

Some of the guys in Philly are d*ckheads, I definitely will admit. Howard Eskin is a name that comes up. The guy that interviewed Brett Myers last year at the postgame podium, when he errupted the guy was also an ass.

I also have to add to your train of thought here. Yes, the Rays dethroned the champs and won the division with the looks of the Red Sox, Yankees and even the Blue Jays in it. But the Phillie also beat a hot Dodgers team. I remember at least 7/10 people from yahoo sports picked the Dodgers, people on here were routing and picking the Dodgers, ESPN, TBS and even Comcast analysts picked the Dodgers. We were supposed to lose to Sabathia, we didn't. We were supposed to lose to the Dodgers, with the odds against us, we didn't. Now we're supposed to lose to the Rays according to picks (btw, I saw on the yahoo picks, 4/5 people picked the Rays) and who says we'll lose this series?

Once in a championship round, no one team is the Flat out favorite, so I don't know what's going to happen

I can't see the Rays losing this series. Rays have a much deeper starting rotation but a weaker bullpen. I don't think Hamels will be able to pitch 3 times. Rays also have more depth in their lineup. Rays in 6.
