does anyone on here have bad back pain? how do you deal with it/treat it? have you gone to a chiropractor & seen improvement? i've had back problems on and off for the past two years. at first i thought it was because of my old job & how i had to stand on my feet for many hours. but i'm not working right now & i my back is killing me, especially my lower back. i've tried heating pads and warm showers, but it just keeps coming back. i'm cracking my back a lot more often now as well, even though i know it's bad. still, it's only a temporary relief. i'm probably going to find a chiropractor and visit one in the next couple of weeks. i just hope i'm able to find out why i'm having so many problems with my back & that it'll GO AWAY!

I suffer from back pain, due to the fact that I wear high heels a lot; there has been times, where I am immobile because the pain is so intense. I am sorry that you are going through this. I pray that you will have a speedy recovery. Because, I know what you are going through..:bighug:

That's exactly why I gave up my stilettos when I was about 38. It's just not worth it (plus, I messed up my achilles tendon badly from them).
I got double whiplash 6 years ago and had to go to a chiropractor three/two times a week for nine months. I also was getting deep tissue massage (which actually hurt worse than the chiropractor's work). I was on heavy pain medication for it too. (You shouldn't have to rely on that though and it's not good for you unless there's no other hope).
I still get the odd issue with it (doc warned me I would), but it doesn't last long. I really should still get adjustments now and again, but don't want to put out the money for it.

thanks for the advice guys. unfortunately, i don't have access to a spa, but it does sound very helpful. maybe i'll go get a massage or something this week. i talked to my mom about it & she definitely wants me to go see a chiropractor so i'll probably do that next week.

I feel your pain. Mine is in my neck and upper back, and the pain is debilitating. I find those Bengay Pain Heated Patches work. Also, your doctor can prescribe medicated patches. I'm trying those this week. Just do whatever you have to do now to get it under control. Back pain can stay with you for life and can be a real life changer. Good luck. It's terrible pain.
