well, there are existing threads for Emmys and Oscars, so what about the Grammys? What are some of the biggest Grammy snubs in your book?

there's been a lot, but I think the all-time snub was the 1984 Grammys. Born In The U.S.A. and Purple Rain were up for album of the year. You have two of the biggest albums of the 1980's after Thriller right there (which rightfully won the previous year) and are both heralded as all time classic albums, and what won? Lionel Richie. Can't Slow Down was a decent album and I own it on vinyl but it can't begin to compete with Prince and Springsteen in 1984.

Another biggie was in 1974 when Olivia Newton-John won Song Of The Year for I Honestly Love You. I honestly love Olivia but that song was nowhere near her best, and the win is especially baffling considering Stevie Wonder, Paul McCartney & Wings and Elton John were all in their peaks around 1973-1975 and had songs out that year as well that would've made much more sense.
