Has anybody seen the movie "W." yet? From what all I've seen of the commercials, it sounds like it's going to be hilarious. What do you guys think?

What do you guys think? MonarC 10-18-2008, 06:14 PM Yeah it does look funny. I will most likely wait till it's on DVD to see it. tv star collector 10-18-2008, 06:39 PM I'm surprised that it was released while he is still President. To my knowledge --although there have been many other movies about U.S. Presidents--there has never been one released while that person was still in office. Interesting marketing move. Interesting marketing move. does Primary Colors count? Granted, the movie wasn't a biopic of Clinton but you'd have to be dense to know that the movie wasn't about him, and that was released in 1998. Yooch 10-18-2008, 07:52 PM Personally, I refuse to go see it. I think it ridicules the President. We should support the President, no matter who's in office and not tear him down, even if we disagree with him, in my opinion, and most of the S.O. regulars know I'm a political liberal to moderate, though culturally I'm pretty conservative. Schmoopie 10-19-2008, 06:46 AM I am dying to see this. It is pretty surprising that they released it while he's still in office though. I'm sure he's not going to be worrying about what it says about him anyway. He has enough problems to worry about. Then again, they also released Farenheit 911 while he was in office too, and I'm sure that's much more harsh, considering it's a documentary. I agree. I think they should have at least waited until he was out of office. I'm a conservative, but I would feel that way no matter who the president was. JMO- might be an interesting movie, though. MusicJunkie 10-26-2008, 03:09 PM I agree. I think they should have at least waited until he was out of office. Come the time Bush's out of office, there'd be even less interest. |
