Fox has picked up "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles" for a full season.

The network has ordered the back nine episodes of the show's second season from Warner Bros., sources say.

The sci-fi series has garnered a relatively modest rating on Monday nights this fall. Its most recent episode was seen by 5.7 million viewers, garnering a 2.3 rating in adults 18-49 and a 6 share, tying NBC's "Chuck" in the 8 p.m. time period.

Fox's overall ratings tend to significantly increase after the first of the year, powered by "American Idol." Network executives may believe the drama's audience will grow once the overall Fox tide rises.

The network earlier picked up a full season order of "Fringe" and has "Dollhouse" planned for midseason, both fellow sci-fi shows.

I'm really shocked at this - I thought for sure it would have been cancelled. This really doesn't look good for Prison Break, then. How can FOX keep it on the schedule with shows like Idol, 24, and Dollhouse coming in for midseason? I really don't see how FOX can afford to continue to run on a 2 hour a day schedule anymore. They have too many shows that just sit around.

Personally, I think Dollhouse is doomed to fail anyway. I think the reshot the pilot, which is never good news and have kept moving around its premiere date.

You could be right - it seems like FOX is losing interest in it, anyways. Even though it still is coming in midseason, its on its own to build an audience, which is never a good sign for a FOX show. Now, they just said that they have plans to air SCC sometime before or after Idol, trying to get its audience going again. FOX just doesn't have room to be airing all their shows at once. They have to air them in cycles.
