My mom and my stepdad bought me a new car today!!!!:wave:

it's a 2007 Ford Focus in Aqua Blue (at first, I thought it was Royal but that's a deeper blue than this)


A/C, working windows (:lol:), and a great stereo are just fringe benefits (hee hee heeeee)

I was so shocked when they came to my job and asked for my keys to the junkmobile (the old van)--like why??

Cool beans! Congrats! I can't wait to get a new car in a few more years mine is only 3 years old but looks like crap thanks to 2 people rear ending me and a third side swiping me! It was repaired but its just not the same! Anyway its a coupe and as I've taken on a lot more responsibility running the house I need a mini suv, something small like a chevy tracker, to fit my groceries and other errands i do.

i'm still pinching myself, PunkyPower! :lol:

i'm so happy for you jude!! i know the feeling i always had used until 3 years ago. it just makes you feel special, the new car smell, knowing its all yours and you're breaking it in. enjoy it kid! you deserve it and i couldn't be happier for you. just drive safe for us!

Toyota Prius' are cool! My husband and I took a test drive in one! Right now I have a Toyota Echo, which I love, but it's a little big. Unfortunately, they only sell the smaller models (the hatchbacks) in Canada, and I hear that they've discontinued all Echo models (in the US and Canada), even though it got really high ratings from Consumer Reports. Unbelievable. I think I'm jinxed. I was all set to buy a new model of my Geo Metro, and they discontinued those too!:mad:

les anyone get the wrong idea.....we are not rich, far from it. My mom worked for over 45 years....couldn't anymore over a year ago and has just now been awarded her SS disability payments. I, along with my stepdad, had been the sole incomes for quite awhile and it has been a struggle always.
But if anyone stills wants to be adopted, come by and pick up an application form and we will let the lucky winner know by Christmas! :rofl:
