I don't want to beat this to the core, but after buying the DVD on Tuesday, I just feel like Back to You isn't entirely cancelled yet. Say what you want, but I don't know if its because after watching the DVD, I'm seeing that there's so much more than could have been, or what, but I just feel like this show could come back at any moment.

There are reasons to feel this way, of course. For one, FOX kept the DVD "Season 1" and never changed it to "the Complete Series," And this is coming from 20th Century FOX. Then, which I find really odd, the FOX message board for Back to You is still up, and people are still posting on it. The show's been cancelled for 5 months now - you'd think FOX would have taken the board down. But, it's still up.

Call it women's intuition, call it whatever you want, but I've really been feeling this since Tuesday, so I thought I'd get it out in words. I'd love to hear what you guys have to say! :)

Julie, I feel the same way. I know it is crazy to think that way, but I have the same crazy feeling. Maybe if the sales to BTY are really good, they can get the 'band back together.' lol Hey, nobody's pilots were picked up, as far as I know, so anything is possible. ;)

Yeah, it's just a feeling I get now and then. We're probably nuts, and everyone else probably thinks were nuts, but it's the way I feel now and then. I've genuinely lost interest in this show lately, but since I picked up the DVD, my interest sparked back up again, and I realized just how good of a show this really was. There are still so many stories that were left untold, so many things that were left to be done in the second season.

But, like you said, anything is possible. Although we're nuts, we can't count out the possibility, right? Not one pilot was picked up, and Kelsey and Patty can't be living off the Frasier and Raymond money forever - I'm sure they'd be more than willing to go back to work.

It would be nice if they picked it back up for another season. Or maybe CBS could replace Worst Week with Back To You. It's a hundred times better in my opinion. I still need to pick up my copy of the dvd, Walmart didn't have it the other day.

I wonder how it's selling. I wish there could be a way to find these things out.

I think Back to You would be great on Wednesday nights again, but on CBS. I'd love to see it take back over the 8:30 slot. An Old Christine/Back to You block would be amazing! Plus, I believe Back to You was averaging more viewers in the slot on FOX last season than Gary Unmarried is on CBS this season - just imagine how much better it would do airing on CBS.

Very strange - there are so many factors that still point in a positive direction for this show!

It would show effort, but all I'd really like is for every fan out there to send a letter, send a simple email, or go out and pick up a copy of the DVD. Strong DVD sales are a start. 1 million copies sold would be amazing, but 500,000 and a letter from every person would be equally as good, don't you think?

^ 6071 signatures. So, it really died down after July it seems - we've only gotten around 100 signatures from July to now, which is nothing to what we got previously.

But what I found interesting was the number of page viewers we got this past week (which was the week the DVD came out) - 112 page views, 13 today. So, it seems like once the DVD came out, people's interest became sparked again.

And is there one of those slip covers like the releases of the most current Warner Bros. shows are getting? Not that this will effect my purchase next week ;) . Also, if it is so just a plain black case, does it have any kind of booklet inside with the episode listings and airdates?

And if you guys don't feel like explaining the look of the release, maybe some scans ;) lol, w/e you guys are offering.

For the packaging of the set, it's a black amaray case, with NO outer slipcover. On the inside, disc 3 is on the right side, with discs 1 and 2 on an inserted holder in the middle of the case - disc 1 is on the front, disc 2 on the background. On the left side, there is an insert with episode titles, original airdates, and descriptions. It is broken down by disc, with the episodes on disc 1 and 2 on the front side, and the unaired episodes (disc 3) on the back, with a listing of the special features.

The discs are held really sturdy in their holders - their's no chance of them coming loose, but they can be hard to get out. I've gotten past that already, though - I think you just need to break them in. Overall, it's a great set - I would have rathered slimcases or a digipack, but its a really well put-together set.


I know what you mean about us having almost no chance in hell of this coming back, but it's just a feeling I'm getting, that this show isn't entirely over yet. Maybe I'm psychic and don't know it :lol:

(where Chuck is dating the coworker who revealed she is married, to which we both screamed/yelled at the identical time--this is one hilarious ep.!) nad the special features. All we keep saying to each other is that Fox did not give this show a fair chance, and watching the special features, I think the production staff (and probably the cast) feel the same way. I don't know if it will be revived, and judging from what I've read about other cast members, it would have to have a whole new look, but it should NEVER have gone off!

Yeah, all 3 of those unaired episodes are hilarious! They're even better than a lot of the episodes that were aired - the one you mentioned is hilarious. The woman he goes out with was also in a previous episode (the one where Kelly accidentally goes to an AA meeting, and she's there). My favorite so far is probably House of Tomorrow - the scene with Chuck in the house, when the house starts going crazy on him, is probably the funniest scene in the entire show!

Different or not, I'd love to see it back. From watching the interviews on the set, you could tell the writers and producers definitely weren't ready to end it yet. They set up this show to last more than season - that's probably why it doesn't seem like its quite over yet.
