To mark the 50th anniversary of the TV premiere of "The Donna Reed Show," Paul Peterson, who played son Jeff Stone on the show, bestowed the Donna Reed Award of Excellence upon his TV sister, Shelley Fabares. She played eldest daughter Mary Stone on "The Donna Reed Show," leading to her recording the No. 1 hit song "Johnny Angel," and later starred on the sitcom "Coach." "The Donna Reed Show: Season 1" debuts Oct. 28 from Arts Alliance America.
Home Media Magazine presented Donna Reed's real-life family with the Classic TV Star Award, for all the contributions the late actress made to the world of television and the role of women in the medium. Donna Reed's real-life children, Tony and Mary Owen, were on hand to accept the award.
