How about it? All the sucky shows get endless releases on DVD, and yet classy, witty, and mindfully funny shows like this don't get the time of day. It sucks.

Thanks, TVQuake!

I was happily watching and taping Perfect Strangers when ION abruptly yanked the show --- it's probably too much to wish for that another network will pick PS up someday.

So hopefully we can get season three and four on DVD soon!

No problem, and it's Quack not Quake

I got a response back already...nothing really note-worthy though :(

Thank you for your interest in Warner Bros!

Sorry, we do not have any published information regarding an upcoming release for this DVD at the moment. Most new movies and television shows are released onto DVD within a few months. For classic movies and TV shows, Warner Bros is releasing more and more of its vast catalog of film and television series each year, but we are not able to provide information on release plans for a specific title.

Please check back soon, or to receive occasional emails about our latest new products and exclusive offers, sign up for our newsletter.

So we'll see....

And thanks for the update -- guess we will be playing the waiting game for future Perfect Strangers.

This doesn't surprise me with WB. I thinkt they're the worst when it comes to releasing TV on DVD. Yes, even worse than Sony. At Sony will license out what they have no intention of releasing.

This is just frustrating.....reminds me of Malcolm in the Middle, another shore I adore that has only had one release. I hate seeing companies commit for the beginning of a series but can't go through with the rest of it.

Warner was always very slow with releasing their TV shows. This particular company is far more interested in releasing films than TV shows. The only ones they'll release at a decent pace are the newer shows. The only Warner owned show that I own the whole series of (which was only three seasons anyway) is Gilligan's Island. There was about a year in between seasons one and two, but surprisingly only six months between season two and season three--- the quickest season-to-season turnover I've ever seen from them as far as older shows go. Other than that rare case, they're pretty damn slow. Look how long it took for them to release season two of Night Court as well. I'm also waiting on Welcome Back, Kotter Season 2. Warner definitely needs to start pleasing their TV fans a little more.

Yes it's true,i wish Shout could get the rights to release it.This show deserve it more then out dated shows that don't hold up as good like Family Ties,Growing Pains,Punky Brewster,Silver Spoons,Blossom or even French Prince Of Bel Air.

Gilligan's Island only 1 season ever come out here but i ended up getting that 3 season set from the USA.WB are bit suss with their Disc being double sided easy to scratch. I don't like it and i reckon most would agree that sucks.

I'm just now watching season one and two of this wonderful series on DVD. I have been reminded that not only is this show very funny it also has intelligence and heart. I hope the rest of this series gets released on DVD. And if Warner Brothers won't do it hopefully Shout Factory or MPI or some other third party company will step in and do it!

Most of the PS episodes are intact on YouTube, and if you have Real Player you can just download them. That's what I did!! Hey, if the DVD companies won't release our favorites, this is the next best thing.

This show did a lot with popular music at the time. The artists want their money for the music to be used in repeats and/or on DVDs and the negotiations can sometimes drag on for years. My guess is that in recent years the contracts for the music expired and the artists are trying to renegotiate their rights and that is what is keeping it from being aired. Hence why only the first 2 seasons have come out on DVD thus far.

RWCTV, Perfect Strangers is anything but classy, witty, and mindfully funny. Like almost all other Miller-Boyett programs of its ilk, i.e., Full House, Family Matters, and Step by Step, Perfect Strangers was very farcical and very campy. Now, if you want something that's actually classy, witty, and mindfully funny, try watching Mr. Belvedere, Coach, and/or MacGyver instead.

If Warner Archive does it, we'll get one season at a time and it'll take forever and be extremely expensive.

No way this will be a complete series set. Warner Archive never releases shows in complete series sets; They always do $30 individual seasons. But....anything is better than nothing when it comes to this classic show we've been waiting so long for.
