Back when I was sixteen years old, I lived in North Dallas. Back then, which was 1986, the Fox channel was still in its infantile stage and did not even come close to being a nationwide institution! This was also at a point in which cable was still a luxury and UHF was still in existance. In any event, at that time and place, Fox was channel 33 for me and "Gimme a Break!" reruns was one of the things that they aired. I remember seeing the "Mellisa" episode then and there. However, because I was already sixteen then, I was old enough to have already seen the episode on prime-time as well. While we are on the topic of season three episodes, I would like to give you a heads up on the fact that my most recent post is called "Still Up There" and it pertains to the episode known as "Samantha's Protest". If you have ever seen this episode or if you have to chance to watch it on the service that you mentioned, I would be very interested in reading your views on the episode in general and my observations about it in particular! Take care.

I don't have Netflix and am waiting for the DVDs. I am just wondering if the episodes available on Netflix have any music in them? If so that would be a pretty good sign the music is already cleared for the DVD's.

I am watching "Cat Story" from season 4, I had 4gotten that GaB had a LIVE episode: "Live from New York, It's Gimme a Break" Netflix only has 5 ep's from season 4, but 9 ep's from season 5!! Better than nothing at this point!

I am glad to see that, at least this page is getting some action! The vast majority of pages on this site are very slow! I have done what I can to stimulate some conversation but have not been too successful. I, however, never cared too much for season six. I think that the humor was very forced, artificial and too far removed from the original premise of the sereis. On top of this, since day one, I have had a huge crush on Julie! With her gone, that was one more strike against it for me!

Thanks for the heads up on this! The quality is pretty damn decent too with my FIOS connection. It's true they don't have all the epsiodes, but at this point I'll take whatever I can get after S2. Sheesh I didn't even remember that they changed the theme song for S3!
