The sixth and Last :( season began on Monday, and, it was a very good ep:

Brent is banned from the yearly Dog River Perogie eating contest (To give someone else a chance to win), so he enters Lacey in his place, and, to everyone's surprise, SHE WINS! Now Lacey has the honoured title of Dog River's "PEROGIE PIG" (Her prizes include a plastic snout) and a jealous Brent starts to presure her into challenging him! (As Brent says to her after her win: "I've never been more attracted to you than I am now!" :lol:)
Other stories have Emma being totally distracted by her new MP3 player, giving Oscar a chance to do all the things she usually won't let him! (And Karen makes it worse by introducing Emma to RAP, much to Brent's disgust.)
In the third story, after being impounded, Hank's truck gets accidentally sold at the yearly Police auction, to WANDA....in retaliation, Hank buys her car after it becomes inpounded!! (Thus begins the "How can I destroy YOUR vehicle, worse than you can destroy mine" contest)
8/10 stars!!!

Season 6, show #2

This show was a little less memorable than the first show of the new season, Brent and Lacey decide to sponsor Dog River's new children's soccer team (The Dog River Reds) after a plee from Davis (Who insists on using only british terms like Football and Footie ...much to Lacey's annoyment); who's talking like the Queen! Unknown to Davis , they rename the team "The Corner Gas Ruby Reds" and spend huge bucks on special jackets for themselves, and el-cheapo t-shirt unis for the kids! The rest of this story has Brent trying to engratiate himself with both the kids (giving them candy after a loss) and their parents (Naming the worst player on the team captain, after a "request" from the kid's father...and a small bribe); while Lacey berates the team for their poor play and takes away the candy!
The other stories have Hank becoming Karen's "chaufeur" after she crashes the Police car, and loses her confidence. in the third story (Corner Gas usually features 3 simultanious stories , which may or may not connect at some point), Emma and Oscar accidentally find something incriminating to Wanda on an old VHS recording when she gives them her old tapes.....and Wanda is determined to get it back.........or get revenge!!!!
Some good laughs, but, only average 6.5 / 10

Season 6, #3

Brent decides (with a little nudge from Lacey) to go "Self Serve", after she convinces him that people would buy more gas, if they got a price reduction (And less of Brent's "humour") in lieu of his having to WORK <Brent is SOOO lazy ; so Brent tries it , but, goads Lacey into doing the same with the Cafe.....so, she introduces "Lacey's Buffet", figuring she can spend more time talking to her customers, now that she won't actually be serving them! As it turns out, both Brent and Lacey are sad to find that the town really prefers not to have them serving OR talking to them; and start going a little "stir crazy" with loneliness.
in the other stories, Wanda starts spreading rumours about Emma and Karen, on a dare to prove that shes "The Gossip Queen", in the end, it all comes back to haunt her and Hank, Davis and Oscar keep selling and reselling a broken laptop computer to each other, all hoping to rip the others off!

there was no new episode this week as they replayed the season ending episode of season 4

It's the hottest day in the history of Dog River and Brent has finally decided to get an air conditioner for the gas station.......and he sets it to FRIGID; prompting Hank to make a series of jokes about how cold it is inside and for Wanda to dress in her winter bomber jacket under a heatlamp, while she works at the counter! Later, Hank decides to bring the joke up a notch by showing up in a full-body skidoo suit.........only to find that the AC is "broken" and that the zipper is caught; making Hank feel as if hes going to catch fire, when he can't get the suit off. Brent suggests he try such things as cooking oil and talcum powder to "slip out" of his now boiling hot clothing.
Another plot point has Lacey and Wanda fighting over a "virtual pet" (Think Tamagotchi) , with Wanda trying to make "him" excercise and Lacey overfeeding "him"!
In the third story, the 2 Police officers (Davis and Karen) win a freezer full of meat, which they store in Emma and
Oscar's basement freezer (Neither officer has the room for the meat in their own place) and the Leroys become prime suspects when they have a BBQ with what looks like the cop's meat!

A great ep, 8/10 ...After watching it again last Saturday (on the Comedy channel), I've decided to change my rating to 9/10!

In the main story, after Officer Karen accidentally walks out of the Ruby without paying for Sargeant Davis' muffin; Davis begins to spread a rumour all over town that Karen is a dishonest cop......unfortunately, it's Karen and Lacey's relationship that suffers. in the other stories, Brent keeps coming over to eat at his parent's place, until Emma and Oscar decide it's time he treats them to a home made supper at his place; too bad Brent can't cook (His microwave is the only appliance Brent has ever used in his kitchen). As it turns out, Emma winds up cooking the meal, but, Brent takes all the credit.
In the third story, Wanda keeps guessing Hank's Email password and sending the town emails in his name (most of them poiinting out what a moron he is) ;until Hank finds the perfect non-detectable password..............and promptly forgets it!!!

Very funny ep, even if the plotlines arent that elaborate 8.5 /10

It was a really good one! I thoroughly enjoyed it. Luckily I've had a chance to watch it now the way they changed the schedule. I think I catch it on CityTv.

And I loved the self-serve ep too. Brent started to worry me there! :lol:

Well, im still coming on from the Library

Emma and Oscar get a new hot tub...making Brent feel rather uncomfortable when they ask him to join them (he declines...sort of...politely); or course, the embarrassment factor gets ramped up even further when the elder Leroys invite the entire town to a hot tub party, and only Lacey shows up! (Prompting the town to start making rumours about what the 3 did in there):lol: From that moment on, Lacey feels totally embarrassed around Oscar and Emma, and schemes to have the hot tub all to herself!
In the other stories, after accidentally driving his truck through the back of his home, Hank looks for a place to stay; and makes secret arrangements with Wanda.............to sleep in the gas station! (And now , its a game of cat and mouse between Hank, and Brent!)
In the third story, Davis is thrilled that he has been picked (Well, he pulled rank over Karen, actually) to be the new Dog River Police mascot, Safety Pete**.......until Karen is forced to substitute, and does a performance that Davis simply cant match!

**Looks like a big squirrel...or maybe a chipmunk....beaver???

no new ep tonight, CTV is replaying the season 3 Xmas special, MERRY GASMAS

Finally some new eps after a long Xmas break! This week's show was mainly about New Year's resolutions and the bet over who could go longest without breaking them. After Karen resolves to run everyday, Hank decides he can do without comic books, Wanda gives up licorice , Lacey gives up gum chewing, and Brent Gives up Chilli Cheese Dogs.....then breaks his resolution by ordering one about 5 secs later!:lol: In the second story, Brent realises that his Dad acts more American than Canadian and has Oscar so confused that he begins to think he needs to get his emigration papers! :eek: The third story is a battle of wills between whether Davis and Karen over who should be the one making the coffee in the Police station; and, each one tries to leave JUST enough coffee in the bottom of the pot, to force the other to make it.
As far as the resolutions go, the gang try to sabotage the others to make sure they win the bet, such as Hank stealing Karen's running shoes from her locker...Davis gave him the key, but, he takes a crowbar to her locker ANYWAY!:lol:
The funniest part of the show is that the big jar of licorice begins "talking" to Wanda , as her will power begins to desolve : "EAT ME!" "KILL THEM, KILL THEM ALL!"

Hank and Lacey team up on Brent when the 3 of them urgue over who is the best Saskatchewan Roughriders fan among them (Lacey says she's been a fan since they moved there from Ottawa!:crazy: :lol: ) anyway, Hank and Lacey vow that if the Riders win the next game, they will wear the riders colours for a month....Brent hesitatingly agrees; then forgets all about it the next day when he's the only one NOT in the riders colours....making him a traitor to the whole town! (Later, he overcompensates by making up his own Riders mascot; and impressing no one)
In the second story; Davis makes a "Mix-disc" for Wanda; doing his best to put his soul into it....Wanda repays him by hitting "scramble" on her player-recorder and, to make it worse, Wanda's is better!
In the third story, Oscar is reluctant to help with the reading program at the senior's home but goes with Karen , just out of curiosity; and decides he wants in, when he sees how "racy" the book is......much to Emma's grief, when Oscar's libido is awakened!
Some really good laughs, but as a whole, average at best 6/10

As Corner Gas reaches the halfway point of it's last season, Brent decides that he needs to refresh his guitar playing, by taking lessons, only to find that his teacher is a 16 year old who does everything better than he does....which bugs him to no end! Oscar gets in the act by calling the kid's father a Jackass; which leads the kid's Grampa (The same person who used to bully Oscar, back in High School) to go after Oscar again, so many years later! :eek:
In other stories, Hank decides to work out....by working out in Emmas garden and Wanda takes over the Howler's horoscope page, using it to make Davis into her own personal slave! (By filling his horoscope with things like "Today will be a lucky day for you, if you do a big favour for a cute short person").......Lacey figures out Wanda's scheme, and tries to use that to her own advantage.
8.5/10 (best ep since before Xmas)

What happened?? There was supposed to be a new episode tonight. After last week's show, I was really looking forward to it today.

The last episode with the dunk tank was a great show, but i was hoping Lacey would get dunked. Only eight more episodes to go.

At the start of the season they had several disappointing episodes that saw Lacey being mean. That was out of character. Then they had several excellent episodes. Tonight was the worst for Lacey. She was being a stuck up little princess. Way out of character. The show itself was good but not for Lacey.

Only four more episodes left with no repeats in between. Then we can begin our official mourning.

Tonight was an excellent episode all around. I laughed a lot. :lol:

I hope they made the final episode an hour long, but I doubt if they did.

Just two more to go. :crying:
