Those who have seen the 2000 Real McCoys Reunion may already know this but Kathy Nolan ("Kate McCoy") mentioned that her absences during the Fourth Season were due to the fact that she fell off a horse and had to be taken away to the hospital during the filming of a scene for the show. She said was injured worse than anyone thought at the time and was in a great deal of pain. Richard Crenna mentioned that they had to cover her with bushes until the ambulance arrived, apparently to give her some privacy. This was the reason for her very obvious disappearance for several consecutive episodes.

I remember the shows she was missing from but didn't know why. Kathleen Nolan, as she goes by nowadays, was on an episode of COLD CASE this past Sunday. She wore her hair up in much the same style as she did most of the time on THE REAL McCOYS. Her voice was easily recognized even with a heavy Southern accent for the show. She's still a very lovely lady.:)
