I certainly hate to say that folks but the economics of this thing, even having lowered prices substantially, just won't work. I'm as disappointed by this as you are.
However it's possible that one or more these titles (including the cartoons) may be available as downloads on iTunes. That's not official at all but if it happens I'll post it.
Thanks,
HH

who knows, maybe the economics of it will change in the future?
I still don't understand why some of these people who are music rights holders aren't willing to negotiate for the rights to some of these songs - i mean isn't SOMETHING better than NOTHING when it comes down to it?

Well they did negotiate and prices were lowered but everybody has their bottom line, for lots of reasons that may not make sense unless you're in their little worlds. The only ones who cared about making it happen somehow, whatever it takes were us.

Well, that's disappointing. But just know that we all (GI fanatics) appreciate everyone's hard work and persistance in this situation!

Is the music rights keeping the animated shows from being on DVD? The majority of the music on the cartoon is stock Filmation music used on many DVD's of Filmation shows already in release.

It's true what Harold Hecuba has posted! I will confirm everything in another thread from an email I recieved from the producer of this project!:(

No, the cartoons have no music to clear. It's just that nobody wants to put them out. If the movie DVDs had happened then we might have had a couple as extras.

That's too bad, would have been great if they were released. All episodes of the cartoon series I have don't have the opening credits so hopefuly we at least get those.
