I was wondering for people that bought the new Oasis CD (hopefully it came out a couple days before now, lol, otherwise I would look foolish saying this, although It would of been leaked out to the internet by now), was it any good? what were the good parts about it and what made the cd not good, as far as sound, songs, production, etc.. anything goes? I will pick the cd up most likely anyway, since I am a big fan, hence the avatar, along with a couple other cds I have been meaning to get. Just fill me in on a few details about the album. Thanks .

hell, it leaked out to the net about three weeks ago, lol.

I think it might be their best since Morning Glory and I notice a lot of fans putting it in the same league as the first two albums. Rolling Stone gave it a terrible write-up but their words mean nothing when you consider the review they gave Queen's Jazz in 1979.

Unlike what really hurt Be Here Now and the latter albums suffered with, there are no bloated 8 minute tracks here. Champagne Supernova and All Around The World were great long songs, but that was it IMO. It's still very Oasis, but the material is a bit fresher than the past three albums IMO.

yay! lol thanks for the review and info MJ. Yeah Champagne Supernova is probably my favorite track by them. An I agree, longer songs most recently in their career haven't been working. I will definitely have to check out, pick up & listen to the album thoroughly. Yeah lol, I figured it leaked at least 2 weeks ago haha.

I love Oasis (esp Wonderwall, I think it's called, and Champagne Supernova. I didn't know they had a new album out. Cool!

I put the blame on MTV and radio. After Be Here Now failed to live up to the "new Beatles" hype that was bestowed on them, it seemed like US radio and media completely dropped them like a hot potato. But the truth is that Oasis have never stopped being superstars in the UK

good week for Oasis fans!

Dig Out Your Soul debuted at #5 this week on the album chart, their first top 10 since "Be Here Now" in 1997 (which hit #2), and "The Shock Of The Lightning" debuts on the hot 100, their first single to chart since "Don't Look Back In Anger" in summer 1996.
