View Full Version : Did Any Of You See "Behind the Camera: The Unauthorized Story of Three's Company"?
JamesG 10-11-2008, 01:06 PM There is a more detailed article about it here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Behind_the_Camera:_The_Unauthorized_Story_of_Three%27s_Company
Behind the Camera: The Unauthorized Story of Three's Company was a tv-movie that aired on NBC in May 2003. It was about pretty much the rise and fall of Three's Company and it showed some of the behind-the-scenes tension that went on during the program's run.
Joyce Dewitt was the host of this movie and was also co-producer.
Did any of you get to see it? How was it? I don't think it's been released again...
GARFIELDKOOL 10-11-2008, 01:16 PM I saw it when it came on in 03. I was actually impressed with the actors they chosed, especially the guy who played John Ritter, he sounded and looked so much like him. It was pretty good, I liked it. VH-1 had reran it a lot after it aired on NBC. Go to youtube to see if it is uploaded there.
JamesG 10-11-2008, 01:22 PM YouTube is the first place that I looked at... it hasn't been uploaded. Someone just posted a clip of scenes from it; the whole movie isn't there.

Go to the trading board. Someone might have it there.
catlover79 10-11-2008, 02:10 PM Yes, and I also saw the movies they did on Charlie's Angels and Mork & Mindy. I saw the TC one back in 2003 - the second time it aired.
vtunie 10-11-2008, 08:41 PM Saw it. Not bad, quite good actually; but for FANATICS only.
"Fred Silverman" is the best character by far.
janet42 10-11-2008, 08:43 PM I didn't see the original run of the movie. I didn't see it until VH-1 ran the movie on their network. I thought the movie was pretty good, but I didn't like the way the movie jumped from 5th season to the 8th season. It took me 5 minutes to catch up. I wish the movie fast forward those 3 years like the movie "Walk the Line." did. :)

Was that Brian Dennehy playing Fred Silverman - or was that the Charlie's Angels flick?

I don't know about Charlie's Angels, but I remember that he played Fred on the TC one.

Very well said!!
Lyverbe 10-13-2008, 09:26 PM It's fun to watch, but like the Wikipedia entry says (in fact, I'm the one who create the section), the movie has lots of discrepancies. It gives a general idea of what happened, but it doesn't have be completely taken seriously.
70s show watcher 10-14-2008, 04:55 AM Very well said!! :nod:thank you for saying so:)
KurtfromPitts 10-14-2008, 01:58 PM I taped the movie during its original run. Full of inaccuracies, but still enjoyable.
