LAS VEGAS -- O.J. Simpson is citing judicial errors and insufficient evidence in seeking a new trial after he was convicted of kidnapping and robbing two sports memorabilia dealers at gunpoint in Las Vegas.

Lawyers for the former football star filed documents Friday with Clark County District Court Judge Jackie Glass.


If she doesn't grant a new trial, Simpson attorney Yale Galanter says he will appeal to the Nevada Supreme Court.

Attorneys for co-defendant Clarence "C.J." Stewart also plan to seek a new trial. They've argued that Stewart should've been tried separately from Simpson.

Simpson and Stewart were convicted Oct. 3 of all 12 charges against them and face up to life in prison at sentencing Dec. 5.

I HATE OJ Simpson!!! I mean, that book he published basically telling the whole world how he killed Ron Goldman and Nicole Simpson...what a horrible and disrespectful thing to do to their families!!! I say lock him up and throw away the key! What I DON'T understand is 1.) why he wrote the book at all, basically begging to be caught and put in jail and 2.) why he did this whole robbery thing and 3.) why does he obviously want to be in jail so terribly??? What does he or anybody see in going to jail??? (Not that he shouldn't have been there all along...I just mean, why has he been begging so hard to be caught?)

I think he confessed in that book because:
1) He wanted it to be a slap in the face, and
2) He knew he couldn't be tried again for that exact same case because of Double Jepordy.

Somebody in the thread said it best when they said he was a psycho. I also liked the karma comment...very true! He can't be tried again because of Double Jepordy alright but hopefully he will get life this time around for what he's done now.

What I want to know is...why hasn't someone shot this pile of crap yet? Where are the angry, gun-toting mobs these days??
