Why are yall's take on Ted Nugent?
I know some people dont like him because of his political views, and his music.
I like the Lourdes and the Amboy Dukes, but I dont like his solo work. I dont agree with everything he says, but at least he has the guts to speak his mind. Also whenever he mentiones his home turf of Detroit, he always acknowledges the Funk Brothers. He gets high points with me for that one.

I'm not a fan of his politics or the fact that he's such an avid hunter, but he is a good rocker and I respect the way he puts himself out there and doesn't hold back what's on his mind. I also respect the fact that he is one of the only rockers from the 70's who didn't fall prey to drug and alcohol addiction.

I don't "hate" him but, sorry, I've never been a fan of him or his music.

nope somehow it posted four times.
I liked some of his solo music. Stranglehold was probably my favorite song by him. And like MusicJunkie said, he wasn't a big druggie like alot of rock stars are, which makes me appreciate him more.

Same here. He looks a lot better than Keith Richards!
Not a big fan of his music, but he certainly is a character.
I do appreciate that he speaks his mind and is very clear in his beliefs. I guess lots of people dismiss him as a crazy rock dude, but he's pretty intelligent.
I saw him on the street in NYC once - ripped jeans, cowboy boots, leather sportcoat, trucker cap. Total rock star.
