This has been a tough week with both Irene Dailey and now Eileen Herlie passing away. I've been following AMC for almost it's entire run and I even remember when Myrtle first came on the show. At one point in the early 80's it seemed like over half the character's on the show lived at Myrtle's boarding house lol How many bedrooms did she have? lol I hope AMC honors Eileen Herlie with a tribute episode and on-screen funeral for Myrtle.

^ AMC did have a memorial episode for Ruth Warrick aka Phoebe, with former cast members returning in her honor. Wow, losing Beverlee McKinsey, Irene Dailey and Eileen Herlie so close??? So sad!! :rip:

I just fount out at soapcentral.com. I changed my avatar in honor of Eileen Herlie. I loved her on the show.

I haven't watched AMC in years, but Myrtle was a favorite character of mine. Sorry to hear of Eileen's passing.

According to Soap Opera Digest, December 19th will be the episode that addresses the passing of the character of Myrtle. There will be flashbacks and everything!
