I was searching the "Murder" section in the new UM website and was checking out the Mike Emert case profile. I was shocked to find the "actual crime scene photo" posted there. Anyone else notice that? It's kind of unusual for UM to use those type of photos, especially when some poor soul was left in a bathtub. :(

Wow, that was surprising. Especially since I certainly don't remember UM showing the actual photo in the segment. I wonder if they're redoing this one and will have the original photo.

I was just thinking about this case for some reason. It was one of the more puzzling cases I had seen. No known enemies and the way he was killed really raises more questions than answers.

In 2011, DNA linked a former police officer Gary Kruegar. However, he died unexpectedly and his motive is unknown!!! Its almost a slap in the face to finally find the killer, only to then learn his is dead and taking his answers with him...I wonder if this former police officer did any other killings?

Countryloving, here's a thread with some info on Kreuger's background and some of our speculations on motive and stuff. I don't know if the links to newspaper articles in the thread still work or not tho, but there's some interesting info here:
