The new theme music, in the trailer, isn't as terrible as I was expecting, but I would still prefer the old.

It looks like it's going to be pretty good. I'm excited and willing to give it a shot.

5 more days!! Woo!

yeah, the theme music isn't all that great..hopefully the new show is!

I am quite suprised and happy as to the amount of information that is up on the site. I don't know if this is the same for others but on the "Wanted" and "Solved" pages there is an error when trying to scroll to the right to see more cases.

Wow, it was a pleasant surprise to watch the new title sequence! Not too shabby. Certainly not near as creepy as the original, but I didn't expect it to be. The info on the site is exciting as well. Some of the better cases from early episodes are listed: Cynthia Anderson, Jeremy Bright, Angela Hammond, Tammy Lynn Leppert and others.

Looking forward to the show! :)

I agree the theme is better. At least it attempts to be closer to the atmosphere of the show rather than the butchering it would've been if they had used that rock song.

The new song isn't anything special though.

Very cool website, I love it. I like how various pictures from the segment are posted on the various victims pages. I also like the quotes that are put in italics. I like it a lot.

Jimmy Cricket! The website looks AWESOME! :D
As for the new opening theme, ehh. It's a bit too "piano-ey" for my taste but it might grow on me. I was surprised to see that the Green River Killer was on their SOLVED cases. I knew they had caught the guy but I don't remember that UM had done a segment on the Green River Murders.

The murder of Trisha Autry was solved and I'm suprised to see that it wasn't added to the "Solved" section.

I have to admit that I like the beginning. The piano music is kind of creepy, it does retain some spook. Not as great as the original of course, but the update does have its merits.

I'm sure the opening theme will grow on me ... at least it's not that craptabulous guitar-riff bit from the trailer.

...I'm surprised that the case of the Connecticut River is not on the website, under UNEXPLAINED DEATH ... Hmmm...

I'm also impressed with the site. I notice they even have Don Kemp on there which is from the Pre-Stack Specials. I wonder if that means thats one of the ones they're redoing for the new UM.

I think the reason the theme song doesn't resonate with people is because there's not much melody to it. The original theme song had that, and that's what makes a catchy song.

The graphics are great though. Very modern. Still not impressed with the cafe press store, though.

I'm disappointed to see one of my favorite cases not profiled on their page yet. The Baskin children.. Katharine and Robert who were abducted by their maternal grandparents. Their episode was shown quite a few times and even had 2 updates to it. Yet this case isn't on their site yet!

I do hope the Baskin case makes it back on air. I hope the website is still a work in progress.

So far I like what I see though. And I think the new theme song will grow on me.

I'm sorry but if that theme from the trailer is any indication, this is gonna be an entirely different show. That was a terrible opening sequence and that music is just plain annoying.

Wow! I am pleasantly suprised. Seriously...very different.

I can deal with the theme music...its just a different take on it.

I think they are still working on the website. I also noticed the lost loves section. I do remember the Irene Love story and Siegfried Laier story too. Maybe they are still looking for the people.

It was interesting reading about the Marilu Geri segment on there since its a segment I've never seen. That would be great if they redo that one.

I'm surprised that the Tara Calico case is not up there. Will they make the link with the infamous photo to the disappearance of Antreas Chester Cantreel, like others have proposed?

I'm sorry, but I LOVE the new opening .. the music isn't what we're used to, but that doesn't mean we can't like it as much. The show looks modernized and I love that.. I am so looking forward to the show. Also, to the person that posted abov, the trailer music is NOT the opening music. Look at the Title Sequence clip.

I like the new theme.

It's not the original.... but it still has a creepy sort of vibe to it.

They did a tremendous job on the website as well.

I'm so excited I can hardly contain myself for Monday.

I really like it! they really stuck with the grass roots IMO. it has been 20+ years since the making of the first theme. you have to move on and except change. the simple fact is the theme has changed significantly twice before and eventually.......went off the air in the USA. So change must occur to make it modern for today's viewers. like i said they already know the original die hards will be back to watch. it may not be fair, but it isn't us that they are worried about pleasing so much. but the fact that they kept it remotely close to the roots....tells you that they do care about what the show stands for. some of you guys sound like cowboys fans who still complain about tom landry being fired.

I wonder if they are going to have Farina go to different locations like Stack did. I hope so, rather than keeping him in that AMW-like set.

I like the new theme, even though I generally like the old one better. But the consolation that I have gotten from the new theme is that it is consistent with the general atmosphere of the show.

I too like the way the official UM web site has been upgraded.

I find it interesting that the site has some of the "lost" cases that were either part of the PSS or not shown on Lifetime. I guess whatever issues prevented these segments from airing on Lifetime in the past have been resolved.

From playing with the new site last night I must say I am really enormously pleased. I will admit, that I could have cared less about SpikeTV doing the show, but with indications of what the site looks like...I sure may tune in for it debut night.

Hey CD, where did you find Don Kemp on the website? I couldn't find the case anywhere.

BTW, I am impressed with the cases on the site so far.

I love the new website....so much more detailed! I love it!!! The new intro is great too, while it will never match up to the old one and that beautifully creepy music, it comes close.

Love it, I'm going to spontaneously combust waiting for Monday!!!!!! :)

PS-Am I going to be the only dork donning her UM baby tee?? ;)

I am keeping my fingers crossed. Even though they won't be narrated by Robert Stack, it would still be nice to see some of those segments.

I agree. From what I've seen on the website, it's horrible. I'll give it a chance tomorrow though. Looks like a totally different show only worth watching because everything else on TV in general has gone down with these dumb reality shows. Then again, I'm not one to like change. At least I have 17 volumes of the real deal at 6 hours long each, so that should keep me happy to have those long lost episodes.

:( Add to that the fact that SPIKE *still* does not even have a link to Unsolved Mysteries on the front of their website. It should be the most prominent thing on there RIGHT on the front page!!!!!

I agree. It bugs me that Spike isn't really promoting the show on their website.
