Remember Me...

Remember me with smiles and laughter,
Because that is the way I will remember you all.
If you can only remember me with tears,
Then don't remember me at all.

An Irish Poem Of Remembrance

Like Sgt. Carter on Gomer Pyle and Barney Fife on Andy Griffith, the real humor on Hogan's Heroes came from the supporting cast. Specifically, Colonel Crittenden, Sgt. Schultz, and Commandant Klink; more than one TV Critic who cringed at the idea of Hogan's Heroes, had to admit the supporting cast was hilarious. We remember them all with a smile...

Werner can take pride in his Emmies and his wonderful ability to portray Colonel Klink humorously and yet show that some people while sinners, weren't pure evil. The same goes for John Banner. I was really happy when Werner guest appeared as Colonel Klink on "The Simpsons".

Quoting Desi Arnaz after the death of William Frawley in an ad he took out in Variety in 18 point type: Adios Amigo; or Anissa Jones, who portrayed "Buffy" on Family Affair, who took out an ad to remember the janitor on the set of her show, former juggler Earl Graham.
A class act is a class act anyway you look at it.
