The ratings for the third episode are down (it continues to lose viewers each week), so I wonder if CBS will pull the plug on this soon, since it loses a BIG part of the huge Two and a Half Men audience.

View Full Version : Worst Week In danger of cancellation? Jude The Obscure 10-07-2008, 07:27 PM The ratings for the third episode are down (it continues to lose viewers each week), so I wonder if CBS will pull the plug on this soon, since it loses a BIG part of the huge Two and a Half Men audience. robyrob 10-07-2008, 07:31 PM i still think its gonna be the next show to go. ryan423 10-08-2008, 12:19 AM Sadly, this show has already been given its fate. We know it, it just hasnt been announced by CBS. We know CBS plans to get Rules of Engagement back on the schedule very soon so I wouldn't be surprised. If I had to guess, when this show is given the axe, 'Gary' will get its timeslot and 'Rules' will be teamed up with 'Christine'. Jude The Obscure 10-08-2008, 08:55 AM CBS I suppose has more to invest in getting "Gary Unmarried" successfully launched than propping up "Old Christine", which only seems to do well as a lead out, rather than a lead in. PrettyinPink55 10-10-2008, 02:14 AM i still think its gonna be the next show to go. I agree...I don't know how long they can keep the storyline up. JulieSomoski 10-13-2008, 04:45 PM I've actually watched this show every week, and it's gotten increasingly worse with each new episode. Old Christine and Rules of Engagement were doing 10-11 million viewers on average out of Men, sometimes more, but WW is already down to below 9 million. I wouldn't be surprised to see it dip to 8 million this week. It'll definitely be gone by midseason, if not by the end of this week. Then, CBS will put ROE back at 9:30. They should keep Wednesdays the same for now - they've been building back viewers each week, and last week both were well above 7 million for the first time. Instead of switching out shows, they need to let both Christine and Gary Unmarried build an audience in that slot. Scoobiedoo30 10-13-2008, 04:50 PM How many episodes have CBS aired already JulieSomoski 10-13-2008, 05:02 PM How many episodes have CBS aired already Tonight will be the 4th. Apparently, CBS has ordered 13 episodes of this show, so either they'll cancel it now and leave some episodes unaired, or stick it out until midseason. Scoobiedoo30 10-13-2008, 05:10 PM I wonder what Numbers worst week is getting. JulieSomoski 10-13-2008, 05:23 PM I wonder what Numbers worst week is getting. Episode 1: 10.97 million viewers, 3.8 18-49 demo Episode 2: 9.31 million, 3.1 demo Episode 3: 8.79 million, 3.0 demo And for episode 3, it was beaten by both BBT and Mother in the 8pm hour in total viewers and combined demo. So, it's not looking very good, especially since its dropping a considerable amount from Men's 9pm numbers. Scoobiedoo30 10-13-2008, 05:30 PM Do you think Worst week will make it until November Sweeps JulieSomoski 10-13-2008, 05:40 PM Do you think Worst week will make it until November Sweeps I'm not sure - if I had to guess, I'd say no. They'd probably let it go until the end of October, then replace it with either Gary Unmarried or Rules of Engagement by November sweeps. It all depends on how well it does tonight, though. If it drops further, it's a goner. Jude The Obscure 10-13-2008, 10:55 PM Gary Unmarried had a momentum going......now we have that Obama ad and Christine at 7:30...... Tomorrow will be the proof........if Worst keeps bleeding, CBS will call it a day on it......mark my words. I never thought this concept was one poised for a long running show. Showing a guy week after week getting the crap beat out of him (in different ways) gets old very very fast. |
