I was born in '88 but all the stuff I watched, took after and all that was in the 90s and a lot of Disney movies were made and remade in the 90s. I loved basically all of them. Name any and all of your favorite Disney oriented movies as a kid and explain why. The discussion and poll is on.

For the poll, you can choose more then one movie or film.

Not as well known as the other Disney movies, but there's a movie called "The Ugly Dachshund" which I've loved since I was a kid. It's shown on Hallmark Channel once in a while. I grew up having doxies and still have them!!! It stars Dean Jones & Suzanne Pleshette. They play a married couple and Suzanne's character has 4 doxies - a mother & her 3 pups. When the mom has her pups, Dean Jones catching sight of a great dane pup at the vet and he really wants it. Of course, not thinking that in the future that pup will get really big. Well, the great dane thinks he's a doxie so he tries to do all the things the doxies do. That makes for alot of scenes of the dogs, especially the great dane to get into hilarious situations, basically tearing up the house. Of course, Brutus is always to blame, the doxies are just so innocent!!:D

And I also loved the movies with a young Kurt Russell - "The World's Strongest Man" & "The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes".

I think Kurt Russell was in another Disney movie, which I think most people wouldn't think it was a Disney film- Miracle, about the 1980 U.S. men's hockey team. He played the coach Herb Ritts. I think that was a Disney Pixar film but I could be wrong.

No, you're right. According to Wikipedia, Miracle was a Disney movie.

I also forgot about "Now You See Him, Now You Don't". It was the sequel to "The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes". I knew there was 1 more Kurt movie that slipped my mind. I hadn't seen these movies in so long!!

If we're talking only cartoons, definitely Beauty and the Beast. She was always my favorite princess when I was a little kid. When you think about it, she was the only main princess that saved the GUY instead of the other way around. :p

Others from that list I chose were all from my time, really. I never got into Cinderella or Snow White because they didn't appeal to me as much. I loved the Lion King, Pocohontas, Aladdin, and Toy Story as well as a few others I can't think of right now.

1. Lady and the Tramp
2. The Shaggy Dog
3. Old Yeller
4. Greyfriars Bobby
5. The Ugly Dachshund
6. All those other Disney dog movies (Big Red, Nikki Wild Dog of the North,

Old Yeller, Incredible Journey and the Apple Dumpling Gang. I wasn't into the animated movies too much. I guess if I had to pick one it would be Pinnochio.

Well, for sentimental reasons, Lion King because that was my very first trip to the movie theater.

I've seen just about all of them except Sleeping Beauty and Nightmare before Christmas if I can remember correctly. Great entertainment at any age in my opinion.

It's not listed but...

"The Three Caballeros".
http://www.aolcdn.com/orlando/three-caballeros.gif

This was the first feature-length film to have Live-Action and Animation (even though many Betty Boop cartoons, Alice Comedies, and Looney Tunes "You Ought to be in Pictures" did the same format.) But also in the same year, "Anchors Aweigh" was released the same year.

Fact-Walt Disney was supposed to have Mickey Mouse, but his Brother Roy discouraged him so Tom and Jerry filled-in the shoes during the famous dance scene with Gene Kelly.

Both films were also nominated for Best Score of a Musical Picture, but "Anchors Aweigh" won.
