First off I want to congratulate garfieldkool, your team got knocked to the mat 2 times in the first quarter & got up off that mat & just dominated after that.

Hmmmmm where do I start.... Well I will start by saying, its amazing how fast a football game can change. The eagles came out & ran one of the most efficent drives they have ran in a number of years on that opening series culmanating with the westbrook TD. Then 3 & out on Defense & djack works his magic & wham were up 14-0.

Then it all changed... From that point on, the eagles could never get on track on offense or on defense. The redskins made adjustments on defense after that first drive & they really didn't allow all that much after that.

I love andy reid, but it amazes me how arrogant & cocky he can be. I am not sure the man knows what an adjustment is... The redskins made great adjustments & the eagles just stuck with the original game plan... That stuff drives me insane.

Not having Shawn andrews in there effects the offense in such a big way, they just haven't looked the same since he went down in the 2nd half of the dallas game.... The man is a beast & he opens up sooooo many holes for westbrook or whoever... those holes have not been opened up.

Clinton Portis who for the most part the eagles generally do a good job on, gashed the number 1 ranked rushing defense in the league today for 140+ yards & the redskins as a whole ran for 203... THat is completely unacceptable.

Jason Campbell was efficient with the pigskin, he wasn't great, but he didn't have to be. He alluded the pressure all day buying himself a few extra seconds to complete many many 3rd down conversions.

I tip my hat to the redskins... They are clearly the second best team in the nfc east & you can make a case that they are the 2nd best team in football.]

Winning at dallas & at philly in back to back weeks is a scary thought, & even scarier is the fact that the hogs have faced all 3 nfc east rivals on the road already this year... All 3 have to go to fed ex later on...

So garfieldkool...good job, we punched you to the mat early on, your squad got up & delivered one heck of a good effort.

Former Sportswriter ray didinger had trouble understanding Mcnabb's statement after the game

"we lost to a team we were supposed to beat"

Thanks again, Mike, you are really a classy fan. Thanks for putting up a fight. The Linc is not an easy place to win, we haven't been too great there over the years. I still think the Eagles are better than their record.

^ Congrats Garfieldkool. Washington played a great, solid, no turnover game. Kudos to them and best of luck the rest of the season. C ya in Washington later on down the line.

Its one thing to think it but its another thing to say it. And looking at the Redskins right now they might be one of the best teams in the NFL.

I agree- and nice GK lol. I haven't actually been to a game since '04. When I get a little older and work everyday of my life, I will get season tickets and cook chicken with the fat people at the Linc.

I think the eagles are better than their record as well, but they are what the record says they are & they are 2-3 with a tough game sunday. No one gets anything for being the best team in sept & october... Ask The giants & cowboys....cowboys were the best team in the nfc all last year till the playoffs.

I am hoping the eagles can get things going again, i am confident they will but in the nfc (especially the nfc east) there is very little margin for error

I agree Mike. To add a little on, it is not fully what you do in September and maybe October that completely molds your team, but how you do overall and how you finish. You end a season at the end, not in September. So I think we have that to look forward to, as a chance for the Eagles to still redeem themselves and bounce back strong. Hopefully.
